Letter 8 -- Blessings and Opening This Letter will be devoted to the meaning and understanding of a passage in the previous Letter, no. 7: “When you allow this force to be a directing Power in your life, the Love that will pour forth from you towards others will be the most beautiful experience you’ve ever had. It will be an experience you will not let die, because without it will be a death–a separation that you cannot abide. For this Spirit that you now will Live and Breathe has as its basic purpose, Love, and it draws itself to the service of humanity as a magnet and humanity will in turn be drawn unto your Heart.” We choose this passage because it reveals an ancient teaching that prescribes the opening of the Heart as an avenue for the Love of the Universe–of the Hierarchy–to literally reach out and *touch humanity. Although in the beginning, as you become Our Blessing Spirit, you may not feel this Power of Love pouring through you, it is taking place. Now when the commencement of this feeling actually begins to happen for you, you will realize a new Life within you, stirring and creating capacities and expansions for Love of which you’ve never dreamed. For–and pay heed–what is occurring is that We are involving your Heart center in such a way that it can never return to the previous state without causing some harm to your being. Hence, the reason for the statement: “because without it will be a death–a separation that you cannot abide.” This statement may frighten some. Let Us explain more clearly, dear ones. It is a simple fact that once you have Loved, there is an expansion of the Heart that will forevermore seek to recreate a similar event. This is true of Mother-Love, the Love between two lovers, the Love between friends, etc., etc. For you all know that once you have Loved, the capacity to Love again is ever waiting in the wings even though consciously you may not think so. The Love of which We are speaking magnifies all other Loves you have known a Universe-fold. And
for that reason do not involve your Heart in what We ask of you unless
you are aware of the commitment We are requesting. “Seek ye first to
know the Truths of the Heart and all else shall be allowed to unfold
before you.” Go
back now and re-read the first Letters wherein We spoke of clearing the
Heart, for that is the way in which We are and will approach mankind.
For it is the Heart that is willing to release the prejudice,
bitterness, vengeance, and all other ills that will serve Us best. Do
not berate yourself if your Heart is still clinging to old hurts and
wounds or the past and therefore finds it difficult to be vulnerable
once more. But simply say to Our Lord in Love: “I am willing, Use me.”
And slowly but surely the old patterns and habits will drop away,
for they will not be able to withstand the Golden Flow of Hastening Love
that is moving through the Heart. Only if you are unwilling will you not
see this happen. So
it is of the utmost importance that you also have a mind that is a
helpmate to the Heart, for it will also be involved in letting old
things die away to make way for the new. This is an occult teaching of
which all disciples are aware. “Let ye move unto the Wings of the
Spirit and She will shew unto you new teachings of the Universe. For
what are ye if ye are not creatures of Love? For ye were made from Love,
and Love is always a Teacher unto its children. Be as children in
learning, for a child has its eyes open wide and a mind like unto a
sponge, with little in its inner closet that will refuse.” Clean out your inner closet O Dear Ones, We ask, and prepare
for the New Age of Loving and Blessing one another. Remember
your Lodge meetings are to be used for such purposes as discussing how
you personally have overcome past difficulties in loving as you have
experienced becoming a Blessing Spirit. And also where you have had
difficulties in this area. For know this, that as you express your
weaknesses along with your strength you are at that moment loosening up
someone else’s courage in the group to speak. For
are you aware that it is healing to others along the Path when you open
yourselves and reveal a tender spot–an area
that has held you back, so to speak, from becoming
lovable? Involved in this process is the courage to be vulnerable–an
attitude of the mind and Heart that is totally necessary to purifying
the Heart and the entire being. “Wait upon the Lord–be of good
courage and He will strengthen Thy Heart.” We ask that you spend some
time in meditating on what it means in your life to have the “courage
to be vulnerable” and then discuss it with the others. |
