Letter 29 -- True Happiness

Tuesday, March 22, 1977–8:10 p.m.

To Our Dear Blessing Spirits,

True happiness is the jewel of Life. It exists in and through the being as that which has caused pain in the past slowly ebbs away by the concerted effort to change the karmic response to the whole of Life.

True happiness is the eternal breath of the Spirit breathing the message of God freely to the soul of man. Man seeks God in all that he does. Think not otherwise for remember man is homesick and his path may detour now and then, here and there, but his goal is definite. The goal sought is the polestar of his existence and when his Heart, his mind, his entire being are placed in a direct line to that Light–then and only then does he experience happiness that is true and genuine.

It is not the Heart in detour that experiences the peace and joy of which We speak, for know this well; times such as these truly leave no room for detours Our friends. For the destruction of detours is at hand as all the world well knows by the pain intensely felt.

Is not an unloving relationship a detour? Are not glamour and illusion a detour? Is not the sin of the world–materialism–a detour? These will go, hold not tightly on for then thy pain will be more keenly felt, as much will be torn asunder from thee. Seek happiness for happiness is deep within the disciple who suffers for the sake of mankind and the upliftment of the world.

Rejoice in your cares and woes, O heavenly ones, as you cease the detours in your life and old patterns are wrenched away. For happiness is already yours though you may not know it as humans are creatures of habit and they believe in what they see and feel in the moment, and an emptiness may be sensed at the loss of that which is no longer needed.

Trust and allow true happiness to evolve for you, in you, and about you as good and holy things take time. Be patient as elation follows hard work and look not for your happiness in your fruits, but find it within where it communes with its Master, the Higher Self.
