Letter 2 -- Opening of the Heart Coming through now is the New Age, which for all mankind is the Advent of the Lord in all His glory. When we see each other eye to eye, the time will be known for each to reach to the depths of his heart and love. This process will be shown as the steps are taken one by one–to reveal Our Lord from the heart for all to see. Love is the keynote; Love is the Way. You will know Love in a way that has never been revealed. It is a Love that reaches from another planet to earth and bursts forth into the hearts that are open to receive. Your job is to prepare your hearts so that We may work and move through that center in–all men. No more is there to be just a reaching out from Us to the few. We are sending forth a cry for all to open the door of the Heart. What We have to say, the Love and Blessings We have to give–will be given to humanity by many, many. Don't you understand? We are approaching. Great preparation is being carried on; it reaches far back into history and now is moving into its fruition. Blessings to those who have worked hard and have responded to the call. The call very often has seemed to have no meaning to the receiver, but the faith and love of the heart have brought forth a willingness that We so look for. The opening of the heart involves a process that is known to the few at present, but will be made known to all. This letter is a beginning of that series. What do you think–that there could be any other way that We could begin to approach humanity? The heart must be cleared of all negativism, all prejudices, all tendencies towards untruthfulness, all problems of superiority, etc. If one could see a heart (as We do) that is filled with the above qualities, there would arise a sickening feeling in the stomach and the tendency to harbor those qualities would be greatly lessened. All are shown this picture (so to speak) of the heart on the other levels of consciousness at night, but they quickly forget in the morning. This is not the dream state. Let Us say this–as a reprimand–whenever one feels a tug at the heart not to repeat one of the above negative qualities, and goes ahead and repeats it despite the feeling, this is sin. For you are all shown at night–during the teaching times–what you need to work on in these areas, and the inclination and desire not to continue these qualities is touched at soul level. However, when one overrides that inclination at a time when opportunity presents itself, it is wrong in the greatest sense of the word. Listen to the heart, my friends, and hear Us speak. For the heart is the vehicle in which We begin to make Ourselves known, as promised in the first Letter. There will be more. (Note:) Whenever They refer to Themselves, I have capitalized the first letter—this is my idea, as I’m sure it matters little to Them. During the time of the early Letters, I had the following dream: I dreamed I was sitting in a room talking to the International President of the Theosophical Society. I was telling him how the Masters wished that the English language had a word for both men and women that they could use in the Letters. For They felt badly the words “he and him” have to be used so frequently when both are being referred to.
