Letter 20 -- Discipleship November

Our Dear Blessing Spirits Discipleship
is not an easy subject to discuss as there have been so many different
views given on this delicate but extremely important issue. We say
delicate because whenever the life–the spiritual life of any
individual is brought into such a focus where rules are given; rituals
are to be performed; what to do, what not to do; you then have the
problem of people often becoming involved in such ‘doctrines’–blanketly.
Yes blanketly because many think: “What
is good for her or him must be equally good for me.” This erroneous
way of thinking, no matter how well meaning, can lead to stagnation for
that person or persons, or it may lead as well to arenas of danger. This
latter condition would be due to forcing the spiritual body into an area
that is laden with powers–powers that the person is “too young” to
handle. To
be loving and kind to the world is as beneficial to the spirit, as surely
as food is for the body–but listen
carefully, it too can be misunderstood. Love and mercy was not a decree from God to be misconstrued as
being a “jellyfish” in the sight of men. Strength requires many
things from many people and there are tasks that men must do that seem
unloving in the sight of others, but in
actuality are as loving as the dew from heaven. We know and
understand how difficult this last paragraph is–but trust that it is Truth. It is to lead Us into the
discussion on discipleship that We make such statements. Discipleship
is an individual matter This
statement is important and will give you comfort as your lives move
forward in His Service. We
see and We know where you each are strong and where you are weak. Your
karma is as a book in Our hands as We open the pages and read why you
are on the earth at this time. Let
Us ask; if each of you on this planet has a past and future uniquely
different from one another then how could a strict code of discipleship
be beneficial to all of you? True discipleship lies in the increasing
desire and ability of the aspirant to contact the Master’s
consciousness and discover therein the path that is genuinely his and
his alone. The Blessings and giving of Divine Joy that We ask of all of
you is Power that We wish to have shed upon all creation for the coming
Lord. We repeat: The world
is to be blessed in its entirety if it is to be saved. As discipleship
becomes your true “living career,” you will discover by Our urging
to come closer and seek your true path. This
you can only do alone, it cannot be done in groups and is to be
discussed only with the closest of friends. This is because others will
have the tendency (if they are “young”) to lay their path down for
you to walk. In other words, they may think what is best for them is
best for you. Your closest Friend is your Teacher, your fellow Traveler,
your Brother whom you have chosen and who has chosen you to help you
come back home. Come with Us as We’ve
been there. Blessings to you all—there will be more. |
