Letter 23 -- Saintliness Sunday, January 9, 1977–3:45 p.m. To Our Dear Blessing Spirits; Saintliness is a quality that pervades, in truth, only the highest path and belongs to the disciple whose feet hath tread that very path for many many lifetimes. And now one sees in such a person the qualities and characteristics that belong to God Himself. Remember We are speaking of those who are of the “saintly kingdom” and not those who only believe they are. Those who know, are able to sense the difference. In these disciples exist the power and wisdom to be intimately involved with every aspect of their being. They know their weaknesses and their strengths and by no means do they trouble to hide those qualities that hold them from perfection. In fact the weak side of their nature will often show its face. Be wary of those who make spiritual claims and yet spend their precious energy in hiding from the world their dark side. For know that it exists just as surely as God Himself exists and is the very part wherein much strength lies. “Be gentle My children in communing with your weaker side, for it is as a little child that needs direction but not killing. Take it by the hand and love it, for it too belongs to the kingdom of after life and will show you at that time that it bears no harm.” For those who allow only their positive nature to be seen are doing so because of fear of what others might think and therein lies spiritual pride. We are where We are because We believe that nothing in man is alien to God and We have shown Him in all His aspects even at the risk of losing respect. For be strong in all that you are and let Him shine forth in all that you do–asking for direction as to the nourishment of that special child within you. For, as We said, it needs nourishing not destruction. Know that child within that often seems to want that which is so foreign to you and yes at times distasteful. For in knowing him you will direct him because he too has a life that seeks expression–an expression you may need at this time. Do not mistake Us, We are not advocating crime, hate, and those things which destroy the earth and its spirit. We are mainly stating that by truly knowing your darker side you in turn will love it and lead it also to the Light. This our friends is the only way to liberation and all that it entails. What all of this means is decidedly an individual matter but bears the mark of the value of group sharing. Saintliness is the sign in the disciple when he or she has no more fears of what the world will think as he moves forward to his goal in loving and serving in His Name. And often this will call forth the hidden child as its parent fears it no more as it tries desperately to exert its own power. For the true disciple knows that the nurturing breast of the Spirit will feed and guide the child towards its destiny–Light. And he who nears his final steps on the path breathes easily as his trust lies in this Truth. Dedicate your lives to growth in all ways. |
