Letter 39 -- Will of God Friday,
October 28, 1977–2:08 p.m. Be
humble Our Friends and Listen with an open Heart and mind., You cannot
be complicated if you would understand His Will, for the simpleness of
the soul only is akin to that Will. “Be
as little children…” It
is this attitude and humbleness of Heart that lives in the glory of the
Will of God. “Expect nothing” is a continual teaching We give you,
for he who expects is blinded to the Will. See now, how marvelously
simple it is and must be for you all? Move easy, in tune with the Beat
of His Heart and you shall become His Will.
You will be His Will–living, breathing, moving on earth. You will be His
Will–loving, touching, consoling and understanding others as you walk
in step to the song of brotherhood. As the prophet Edgar Cayce spoke, “You get to heaven leaning on the arm of someone you’ve helped.” Search for and understand the profound meaning of this statement for in it lies one of the Truths of humility. Reach out for that which binds your Heart to another in understanding–not that which separates you in pride of the ego. For always where pride exists, the desire to be separate from others is its sibling. And when these two children command your internal family, the Will of that One High Mind is apart from you, just as you are apart from your fellow being. See–“As below–so above”. Many
people complain: “I try so much to understand the Will of God in my
life, but I guess I’ll never know what It truly is.” The only thing
that separates one from that Will are his expectations in life, and
these expectations can usually be traced to the drive for superiority.
Don’t be so quick, as you read this, to say, “Not me, I don’t wish
to be above others.” Go to the depths of your Heart and you will all
find hidden–no matter how small–the wish for power over others. Be
strong and courageous in this search and do not be afraid at what you
find for it does exist. Think
on it, that not only the loving, beautiful, accepting side of your
nature links you with all others, but also that side you call “dark”
links you to your brothers and sisters. The sooner you realize this and
bring it into the fresh air, the less power it will have over you.
Confession and honesty to your fellow man is a prerequisite of humility. Do
not just take Our word, (for if you did, these Letters will be a failure
in Our sight), but test what We say. See if what We speak of here is
greeted by your soul in harmonious union and try–experiment and look
for those areas in your Heart, your mind, your actions, where the desire
for separateness and superiority exists. And in those moments, feel and
intuit your own separateness from the Will of God. …Be
brave… |
