Letter 34 -- Understanding Wednesday, July 6, 1977–9:10 p.m. Blessings from Our Hearts to yours, We shall continue now on the subject of understanding. Ignorance is not acceptable anymore. A harsh statement? Maybe–However the New Age brings with it the “nowness” for harsh statements from Those Who know and understand what is needed to open the Hearts and Minds of today’s world. There is hardly a person amongst you who will be exempt by claiming ignorance. As these years of destruction, hard times, and deep regret over loss of time approaches there will be many who-when faced with the Truth about themselves–how they’ve not given claim to their spiritual nature, will say, “I didn’t know any better.” We tell you, they are liars! For the Energy, the Love, the Power that We have been exerting in their direction to touch, to strike the chord of their Spirit is boundless and its intensity cannot be measured. Everyone who turns his back on that which We have sent and says, “I’ll listen to You another day, but for now go away,” is indeed separating himself farther and farther from the salvation of his very soul. Is he aware of the wealth of material that is available to him so that his Spirit may be expanded in love for himself and his brother? It is all around, Our brothers and sisters. We see to it, as much as We can, that a needed message moves into the awareness of a person who is suffering from a blockage to the Spirit. It’s there! It’s there! All he need do is listen and learn for what has come his way is from on High-and he must be willing to lay down old attitudes and assumptions and lend an ear for Our intention is to heal and quicken the Spirit. Why do you think the Hierarchy has inspired all the many writings that lead one to growth in the field of psychology, spiritual awareness, the arts, education, medicine, healing and all other areas that involve the freeing of the Spirit? Do you think this has been a helter skelter happening? Think otherwise–for each valid piece of work, a book, etc., that has reached the public has a message from the Brotherhood to mankind that will teach, direct and lead to the understanding of himself and others around him. Are you aware how many people are on that road because they have read the much needed book, I’m O.K. ,You’re O.K.? Are you aware that your ability to love and serve others will grow only to the extent that you love yourself? Books such as these are treasures in Our sight–as much, much of the world’s ills lies in the damage that has been done to the mind because of poor parenting. Are you surprised that We are involved in this work? Do you think that the only way in which We communicate with you is in regards to high spiritual matters? Look around and do not be foolish; you can’t even begin to know what true occultism is until you “know thyself.” Above all, seek ye understanding and true Wisdom will be yours. And indeed are you aware of the many ways We speak through those who have the ability to move audiences by their words? Listen, and they too shall teach you understanding. As We have already written what We truly mean by listening, you will have no worries as to the genuineness and validity of their message. Understanding
leads to an open Heart–seek not information for information’s sake,
but look for understanding in all that you read, in all that you see,
and in all of your discourses with one another. Look only for that which
will expand your consciousness and desire only that which will increase
the purity and goodness of your Heart. The two must be companions
forevermore. |
