3. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: How did the different band members meet...?

Kiko: We are friends, and we live in a smal town called Lavras in Minas Gerais. So we know each other from a long time ago. We used to talk a lot before we play on Expulser!

4.DARK RECOLLECTIONS : Talk about your demos "Bloody Cross of j.c" (1990), "the marriage of heaven and hell" (1999) how did they do in the underground metal scene?

Kiko: There is two more Demos. "Fornication(1989) and "Nevermore(2004)". The "old Demos" was release just to get in touch with other bands and other guys that like this kind of sound! The Marriage of Heaven and Hell became a way to tell the world that we are still alive and making a new sound! And "Nevermore" the same way that "The Marriage...", Only a little bit better Record than "The Marriage..."

5. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Its been years since your debut Cd "The Unholy One" was unleashed on kult brazilian label Cogumelo records... what has Expulser been up to since then... why hasn't there been a follow up Cd to the "Unholy One"?

Kiko:That�s was a problem with Cogumelo Records! We try to make a new album with Cogumelo but they just don�t have the time to do that. We wait for 3 years and nothing and was aways like "may be next year". So we decide to do by ourselves. It take a long time to finished all stuff envolving the record, mixing and mastering process!!! In other way, the "Haeresis" album is a trully album from Expulser! Otherwise, Cogumelo has release in a CD version "The Unholy One" with all song from "Fornication" as Bonus Track.

6. DARK RECOLLECTIONS:Was there a break up in the band at some point... or did EXPULSER stay together for all those years?

Kiko:Expulser has different line ups since "The Unholy One". I was the first of the "New generation" and I was there just in the middle of 1994! After That, Jos� come in middle of 1995 and Maria arrives in 2000, I guess. We take so long to make this band with a real good members. And Now I think I can say that!

7 DARK RECOLLECTIONS: In the beginning SARCOFAGO (brazilian gods) seemed to be a major influence for EXPULSER both in music and lyrics...was this intentional or is it just how the music came out...?

Kiko: Sarc�fago was a really god band that breaking some wall at the time. So I think they like that and was really a "new sound". So it is natural this be felt in the music that Expulser made at this time! It was a major influences at this time but wasn�t intentional. It as just like the guys felt! Actualy the Expulser that you will hear is no longer influenced by Sarcofago! I hope you will Enjoy!

8 .DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Talk about your upcoming new album "Haeresis" ... who would release it... release date... will it be available outside of Brazil?

Kiko:This new album "Haeresis" will be released in 10 february and will take 11 music: "The Enchanter", "Blind God�s Seed", " Evocate (...in revenge)", "Nevermore", "Dismembering God", "Blessed Angels", "The Pages", "Innocent Blood", "Blood in Ecstasy", "Testimony" and "Haeresis". This last one, has more than 10 minutes and it is something different but still Expulser! This took 4 years to get ready to go. And was totally underground made. We record at "Mr. Silva Studios" in Lavras and will be release by "Desse Jeito Records", our label. I�m the one who is trying to get this CD in all the world! I hope I can do that with the support of the international underground! I�m checking all possibilities and hope all of you can take the "Haeresis" CD! Get in touch, ok?

9 DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Can we expect a vinyl release of new Cd "Heresis"?

Kiko: As I say before, It�s everything going on at the same time and it�s me alone that do everthing for Expulser. It is in my plans!!! And a lot of other stuff too!!!! By now I can only offer you in a CD version an as soon as possible, I will made this also on Vinyl!

10 DARK RECOLLECTIONS:Have you had any offers from any record labels to release your demos on Cd?

Kiko: No. I don�t receive any offer like this� I received some offer to release in tape format! May be we will release all Demos in a Cd format!

11. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: What has it been like to be part of the Brazilian underground metal scene.. see so many bands come and go ... and still be around after all those years.... Any new Brazilian bands you recommend checking out?

Kiko: That�s nice! I think that Brazilian Scene is one of the best in the world, We have a lot of good band and (like in the world) there is a lot of bands that come and go really fast! But other�s still playing every month in every place possible! We are just get our dreamming on and trying to do our best, on studio and at Stage! I have to tell you, |I love to play this song live�
There is a lot o bands like I said before. may be you already know them. A example is Alpha Scorpi (from Varginha). It�s a kind of a death metal! And there is a lot os bands like Decebrebration, Corpse Grinder, Heresis, and other that is no need to be introduced! They are a very good guys that play with us all the time!!! Metal rules!

12. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Any merchandise available from the band? (list items, prices, and how to get stuff)

Kiko: We will put as soon as possible, some T-shirt, Old Demos(CD-r and Cassete), and may be some live stuff! The vinyl will take some more time to came but it will come. Please, check out www.expulser.com for more info or write at [email protected]
