BESTIAL MOCKERY interview answered by WARSLAUGHTER (drums)

1. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Introduce the band...(who does what, plays what instruments, who is answering interview , etc...)
WARSLAUGHTER: - Bestial Mockery incorporates the following mental patients: Doomanfanger (guitarz, backing vox and lard), Master Motorsåg (vokillz and bleeding ulcer), Ted Bundy (guitarz and mists of Avalon), Devilpig (bass, backing vox and retarded children), and me, Warslaughter (drums, backing vox and broken back). And yeah, I am answering the interview.

2. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: How long has current line up been together, is this the original line up the band started with?
WARSLAUGHTER: - This line-up has been together since 2001 or 2002. I can't remember exactly. It's not the original line-up, but contains it. Originally we were just Master, Doomanfanger and me in the band making all the noise and shit.

3. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: What kind of response have your demos, Cd received from the underground scene?
WARSLAUGHTER: - Our first demo "Christcrushing Hammerchainsaw" didn't get much appreciation, but the following demos, tapes and stuff were all well received. Our first LP has also gone well in my opinion. We've got much support from maniacs throughout the worldwide underground scene. There are many warriors fighting for the cause of the Devil and bestial Black Metal. We hail them all, Soldiers of Evil!!

4. DARK RECOLLECTIONS:Nowadays it seems that everybody seems to be doing black metal, with so many bands nowadays it is hard to pick the real metal bands and the wagon jumpers (fake not into metal at all) what are your thoughts on Swedish scene any bands you recommend checking out?
WARSLAUGHTER: - Yeah, it might be difficult from time to time to pick real from the fake, but I don't think it ever was that easy. There have always been shit bands around, even in the glorified eighties. I don't know, but I think the best way to stay away from the fakes is to check out whatever band you might be interested in before you buy anything from them. I don't make such a big deal out of it since I don't buy that much stuff anyway. Best Swedish bands around would be Repugnant and Face of Evil, but then again I haven't heard every band in Sweden. Other good bands to check out are Karnarium, Kill, Axis Powers, Suicidal Winds, Kaamos, and I guess some bands from the Stockholm Black Metal scene. Judging from the expectations of the new Funeral Mist LP it should be something like "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas"-II, but I haven't heard it yet, so I can't say anything really.

5. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Do you play live a lot, what can anyone expect on a BESTIAL MOCKERY show?
WARSLAUGHTER: - We play as often as we can, but usually it's something like 4-7 times a year. A Bestial Mockery gig is blood, gasmasks, chainsaw, fistfights, insults, goat skulls, devilworship and general chaos and mayhem.

6. DARK RECOLLECTIONS:Who came up with the name BESTIAL MOCKERY?
WARSLAUGHTER: - Me and Master did it together. It was in '95 sometime, and we were making phone calls to each other about what this new band was going to be called. I had come up with Bestial, even making a shitty logo with only that word, when Master came up with Mockery to that word. And so Bestial Mockery it became, putting a name to what the band was all about: total blasphemy of all things holy!

7. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: What are your thoughts on: a) the end of the world, b) the occult, c)the so called "normal" way of life,d) christianity?
WARSLAUGHTER: - a) It's coming. But how and when I don't know. I think it's up to us to work for it throughout our lives. To work against the "good" forces in whatever way we can. b) Very interesting things, but nothing I'm involved with personally. Master has been into the occult at least in the past. I don't know if he is right at the moment, though. c) Depends on what you mean. The easiest way to survive without too many problems. d) Not really my thing. Quite the opposite actually...

8. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Talk about your new Cd on OSMOSE PRODUCTIONS?

WARSLAUGHTER: - Alright, our new album is called "Evoke the Desecrator". It's darker and more demonic than the last one. It contains ten songs, of which two are old demo tracks. I don't know what to say really, it's violent, heavy, Satanic Black Metal, and it's gonna crush you like a bulldozer!!

9. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: What are some of the Cds, bands that you have been listening to lately?
WARSLAUGHTER: - Latest things I've been listening to are Absu "Tara" cd, Necros Christos "Necromantic Doom" demo-cd, Abominator "Subversives for Lucifer" cd, Chainsaw "...Satan I obey!" reh.demo, and Onslaught "Power from Hell" cd. All quality Metal bands!

10. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Are you familiar with bands like SARCOFAGO, BEHERIT, BLASPHEMY, DESTRUCTION, KREATOR? did you ever get to see any of those bands play live?
WARSLAUGHTER: - Yeah sure, I'm familiar with all these bands, but I have only seen Destruction and Kreator live. Too bad I haven't seen the other three, but I doubt I'll ever get the chance. Maybe Blasphemy then, if they ever get their act together again. In one way or another all these bands have been influential to Bestial Mockery.

11. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Are you a vinyl (Lp, Eps ) collector, is there an Lp that you are proud to own, any Lp you wish you would have got when it came out?
WARSLAUGHTER: - I was more of a collector in the past, but since I've got lazier and lazier by the year I don't have the energy to plunder through second-hand record stores only to find a Krokus or Raven LP anymore. Nowadays I only buy LP's if I know they're good. I try to have my eyes and ears open for good things though. I'm quite proud of the "Into the Abyss" LP by Poison (ger) and the "Unholy Death" LP by NME. An album that would have been smart to buy when it came out is obviously "Deathcrush" by Mayhem. Actually, I saw it for 150 sek (about 20 US bux) at one occasion, but stupid as I was I didn't buy it then, something I have regretted ever since. Now it would be plain stupidity to buy it, I would ruin myself.

12. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: How often do you get to rehearse, what goes on during a BESTIAL MOCKERY rehearsal?
WARSLAUGHTER: - We rehearse two times a week mostly. What happens is that we swear at each other, drink some beers, do stupid things, take a smoke, and make a song. That's basically it.

13. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Any last words, comments? thanks for the interview..
WARSLAUGHTER: - Thanx for the intie mate. Sorry, I've been kind of a slacker today, so the answers aren't that long. But who gives a fuck in a thousand years... Out now, besides "Evoke the Desecrator" is our new split 7" EP with Axis Powers "Tribute to I - 17" on Agonia Recs (Poland), and soon to be out is the 4-way split EP "Outbreak of Evil" with Vomitor, Nocturnal and Toxic Holocaust. If anyone wants to buy our stuff, then turn to Osmose Productions , Agonia Records, and the Toxic Holocaust guy. Not to us! We don't have any stuff for sale. But you can always write us .
