3. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: DEMONIC CHRIST was on a hiatus for awhile... what made you bring DEMONIC CHRIST back to life after all those years?

SATANIA: I always knew there would be a time to re-focus on my music. It is a part of me... The ONLY thing more important is my children, which is the reason for the long hiatus. Music is my passion and I cannot see myself not playing - ever. I have much more to accomplish with and through my music and my emotions guide me in this direction. I definitely feel the new material will be self explanitory.

4. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: What do you expect to achieve with DEMONIC CHRIST this time around?

SATANIA: I expect to unleash my emotions & thoughts through my music as I always have... only this time without the interference of others. Demonic Christ has always been my vision, my band and in the past I have let others contribute too much in a way that it was no longer my vision anymore... I enjoy writing with other people but the vision, the beliefs behind the music have to be the same. This time I hope the music will be a clearer representation of me, my thoughts, and beliefs.

5 DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Talk about your re-releases "Punishment for Ignorance" and "Demonic Battle Metal" on Black Metal .com records.... how did the deal with Black metal .com come about?

SATANIA: I am very happy with both re-releases. Both were limited releases that many people had been looking for and couldn't find. "Punishment For Ignorance" has been re mixed and has bonus live tracks and "Demonic Battle Metal" has 2 videos. Both have completely new booklets.






6. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Who did the art work for both re-releases?

SATANIA: I thoroughly enjoyed creating new booklets for both of them. The artist I worked with (Lord Asaradel - Bull Rocker Graphics) is amazing & went out of his way to please me & make the booklets exactly what I wanted. We worked together night & day and I am 666% satisfied with the end result.

7. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Tell us about your upcoming new album (give name, record label, number of songs,etc)

SATANIA: The new album is not yet titled, will have 9-10 songs and will be released on BlackMetal.com Records.

.8. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Have any record labels shown interest on releasing "Punishment for Ignorance" and "Demonic Battle Metal" on vinyl?

SATANIA: Actually yes... Both have been released on Pic LP on Belgian label Painkiller and there is interest for both albums to be pressed on regular vinyl later this year as well.

9. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Can we expect DEMONIC CHRIST to tour once the new album is released?

SATANIA: I hope so... It will greatly depend on finances. We would definitely like to play some European shows as well as a select few in the states.

10. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: What is your opinion on today's so called black metal scene... any bands you like/dislike... bands you recommend checking out?
SATANIA: Well, the "scene" certainly is nothing like it once was. I definitely miss the days of old but change is necessary in all aspects. Change means growth... I think what is important is that something of it remains, the essence and it's purity is what keeps the eternal flame of the true spirit burning. There certainly is an over saturation of bands and posers, more than ever before which is annoying but I just toss them to the side, there are plenty of bands out there with the old school spirit who are playing Black Metal for the right reasons. Those are the bands I am attracted to & support. The rest can all choke on their own blood and vomit.

11. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Whatever happen to former Mythic drummer Terri Hagen... is she still involved in metal?

SATANIA: As far as I know she is not, but we split on bad terms so I really have no idea... honestly don't care either.
