1. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: For those not familiar with EVIL MADNESS...give us a brief band bio.
MATIAS: EVIL MADNESS came to existance on 2003...even though ideas and lots of songs were writen before then, thus 2 instrumental demos were recorded by me whic were recorded on 2002/2003...I presented those demos to some friends and thus our first line up came to exist: Matias Ubeda (guitar), Camilo Venegas(guitar), Roberto de Negri (bass), and Pablo Mendoza (drums) with this line up we didn't have a singer yet...it didn't last long...On 2004 our second line up came to exist: Matias Ubeda (guitar),Ignacio Rojas(bass and vox), Cristian Contreras(guitar),and Gullermo Canales (drums)... this line up lasted longer than previous line ups and we recorded the demo "end of the world" and "ultimate disease" rehearsal... On 2005 Gillermo Canales leaves the band and Dante ruiz joins the band for a couple of live gigs... later to be replaced by Rodrigo Millan who has been our drummer ever since.

2. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: How long has current line up been together... is this the original line up? MATIAS: we have been playing together for almost 2 years with original songs... this is not the original line up...

3. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Who chose the name EVIL MADNESS and why was it chosen?
MATIAS: I chose the name before we started playing together as a band.. even though we had songs and demos on cassete tape with the unofficial name (disease)

4. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: How did the different band members meet... was it hard or easy finding the right band members?
MATIAS: the hardest to find was the drummer.. it was always hard finding someone who wanted to play our style of music and got along with the band... the rest were easy to find(guitar, bass and vox)

5. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: Talk about your "Ultimate Disease" Rehersal demo... what kind of response has the underground scene given to rehearsal... have you trade with any bands from overseas?

MATIAS: Our rehearsal has had a great response.. we have traded with some local bands and sold a few ....

6. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: any plans to go into the studio to record an official demo?

MATIAS: we just recorded our new demo recently "re-animated in pestilence" was recorded with our current line up:Matias Ubeda (guitar) , Cristian Contreras(guitar) Ignacio Rojas(bass and vox) and Rodrigo Millan (drums). this is our best material yet... it has five songs...

7. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: what is the scene like where you live... any bands you recommend checking out? (give names and websites if they exist)
MATIAS: we have a pretty good scene in Chile... there is lots of thrash metal bands like Disaster, Toxic patrol, Chaotic bastard, Massive Power, Evil offering, Pate cabra, sacra entropia , acrostic, atomic head, etc...
8. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: what is the song about "Final Death"... what inspired its lyrics?
MATIAS: it was inspired like most metal tunes by themes like Satanism,destruction, anti christianism, apocalypsis, and other things like that... there is exceptions like "mad attack" which was not inspired by satanic themes... 9. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: what can anyone expect at an EVIL MADNESS live show? MATIAS: its like a hard thrash metal hit to the head. !!! 10. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: when was the last time you attended a show from an international band... who did you see , and how often do bands from out of the country play live in chile?
MATIAS: last shows i attended were Morbid Angel september of last year and Megadeth on October 2005. We get international bands to play here in a regular basis...

11. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: On your rehearsal "ultimate disease" you cover "Morbid Visions" by Sepultura... why was this cover chosen ... were there other covers that you might have done?

MATIAS: at the time our current line up became stable we had 3 covers that we always rehearsed "Morbid Visions" Sepultura, "zombie ritual" Death, and "total desaster" by Destruction. Morbid Visions" made it to rehearsal Cd due to the fact that is the one cover we did the best...

12. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: any merchandise available from the band? (give prices, list items and how to get stuff)
MATIAS: at this time we only have our latest demo... which was recorded recently... our best material yet...

13. DARK RECOLLECTIONS: any comments, last words? thanks for the interview
