Park in the back on Lake and after entering use the elevator to the right or the escalator ahead and to the left. In the back of the second floor children's department is a double set of white doors, which is the meeting room.

Meeting, Monday, January 21 – “Collectible Magic”

January Meeting – Monday, January 21, 2008
This month’s meeting focused on magic that was collectible. Adam Shake showed a multi-colored Mutilated Parasol that was signed by Doug Henning. Greg McNeil showed some vintage heavier weight Merv Taylor linking rings. Kathy Martin showed a collapsing wand made of a spring-like material, Catalan, which was machined by Connie Hayden. Grant Golden showed some Dave Madden novelty thimbles and a glass case of Houdini palming coins and specially minted magic coins and lapel pins from Abbott's Magic Get-Together as well as a few magic books. Dave Taylor performed a Cards Across effect with Kyle Bassett volunteering where a Morrissey brass metal tray was used to transfer seven random cards into a gift bag. Three selected cards were then vanished from a pile of ten cards on the table only to be found along with the previously counted seven cards in the gift bag. Karl Niebuhr brought a red box with a Chinese motif where, when a candle was placed inside, the middle section of the candle appeared to have vanished and then subsequently reappeared. Doc Lowery demonstrated some vintage puppets including a duck puppet once owned by late PMA member, Ted Colteaux, and a puppet figure whose arms punch boxing style.

Annual Banquet, Sunday, January 20 – Grecian Gardens, Chillicothe

The club met at Grecian Gardens in Chillicothe for dinner followed by installation of officers and performances by a few members. Performing were Adam Shake, with Vanishing and Appearing Water (from a glass inserted through a red tube from one end to the other) and Water Bowl Suspension, Greg McNeil with a card effect called Floyd where the back of cards have names written on them in black and the chosen card is predicted to be named Floyd, and Allen Broomfield with a card prediction effect with a volunteer from the audience and a card prediction effect using a calendar planner where the card written on the date of an audience member's birthday matches the predicted card.
