THEME: Your Most Frustrating Magic Dealer Item (Stage or Close-up)

Bring a magic effect that has given you fits or has frustrated you.  Include any dealer items that have not lived up to their descriptions in the dealer catalog.  Even better, try to make the effect work enough to perform adequately at the next meeting, or describe it's weaknesses without performing.  Please bring some magic to share or teach as well!

The Peoria Magicians Assembly meets on the first FRIDAY of the month from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the West Bluff Christian Church, 2018 W. Best opening effects stage and close-up were performed.  David Taylor performed his appearing cane from silk effect.  Rich Rau did an impromptu silk appearance and a vanishing wand in newspaper effect.  Gordon Snow explained some good ideas for controlling and engaging the audience for kids shows.  Grant Golden discussed kids show ideas.  Greg Joyce performed his opening  routine of throw streamers, silk string production from cupcake pan, square circle silk production, linking rings, rope effects and juggling.  He also showed his Magic Money Boards where a $3 bill jumps from one board to another when the boards are closed.

Directions to West Bluff Christian Church:

Take I-74 into Peoria, exit at University St. South (Bradley University) Exit (91A).  Take University St. south to the second 

stoplight.  Turn right on to Main St. (Avanti's Restaurant).  Go past the overhead stoplight at Bradley Fieldhouse and the 

next stoplight at Bradley Park.  Two blocks down Main St. curves left and continues onto Western Ave.  Go past the 

stoplights at Hardee's and McDonald's.  Two blocks further, past the Kentucky Fried Chicken and before the auto parts store,

 turn right (west) onto Kellogg St.  Go one block and park in back of the church.  We meet in the basement.
