About the Lecture:

“My lecture is about 2 hours and ... on keeping the magic that we do as visual as possible.  I will teach many effects, and discuss (while performing) my reasons for doing visual magic.  I have been doing restaurant magic for 20 years.  I have co- authored two books on strolling magic, The Restaurant Workers Handbook, and Jim Pace's "A" Material.  I have invented many popular effects for magicians to perform.  The WEB is still a top seller all over the world.  Inviso Torch, Hot Leads, Sparkleflash, The Write Stuff, Wanderful (the worlds only fiber optic wand), The Alien Spinning Thing, to name a few.  I have two DVD's on magic VISUANTICS and GAGS 2, three VHS tapes, one teaches how to use Rocky Raccoon, SPRING PUPPETS ALIVE. 
  
Here are some of the things that I will teach:  Turn back the time on someone’s wrist watch while it is held in their hand.  Poke your finger through somebody’s shirt and leave no hole.  Quick o chink the fastest chink o chink ever.  Pro nightmare...is my strolling version of professors nightmare that audiences just love to watch, and so do magicians.  Crush flat a full bottle of soda, then stretch it back into shape. Your audience will not believe this.  Punishment is a three coin production, where just after the last coin appears...all the coins vanish instantly.  Misers dream in the hands. This is my favorite effect that I do for strolling magic. Coins appear at my fingertips, dozens of them. This is very difficult but well worth the practice.” - Jim Pace

ABOUT THE PEORIA MAGICIANS ASSEMBLY

 

* The Peoria Magicians Assembly meets the SECOND Friday of each month at West Bluff Christian Church, 2018 W. Kellogg St., 

West Peoria.  The club does not meet during some months with special events, including July and August.  Please consult 

the web site for current information.  Guests are invited to our meetings at no charge.  Membership is available for $15 a 

year beginning in July each year and is prorated.  For a membership application, E-mail: [email protected].

* For directions to West Bluff Christian Church:  Take I-74 to Peoria, exit at University St. South (Bradley University) Exit 91A.

Take University St. to the second stoplight (Avanti's Restaurant).  Turn right onto Main St. and go past the overhead stoplight 

on the left at Bradley Field House and past the next stoplight at Bradley Park on the right.  Go two blocks further and Main St. 

curves left and continues on to Western Ave.  Go past the two stoplights on the right and past McDonald's.  Go two more blocks, 

past the Kentucky Fried Chicken on the right and just before the auto parts store, turn right (west) onto Kellogg St.  Go one block
