Moving Units

All units move east, west, north or south; no diagonal moves are allowed. How far a unit is able to move depends on a number of items:

  • Movement points: How many movement points the unit type has.

  • Terrain (1): What type of terrain the unit is moving thru since not all units are allowed to move on all terrain types

  • Terrain (2): The type of terrain also can slow down or speed up unit movement

  • Elevation: Is the unit moving up- or downhill ?

  • Infrastructure: Are there roads, rail or other terrain properties that influence movement?
