Victory Conditions

Victory conditions define the targets a combatant must achieve in order to win a scenario. In order for an alliance (which is composed of a number of combatants) to achieve a full victory, all combatants in the alliance must have fulfilled their victory conditions. Victory conditions will be determined at the end of a game (which usually has a predefined number of moves).

Types of victory conditions:

  • Assuming ownership of a specific map square or squares (usually a city or other property of great interest)
  • Accumulating enough economic points
  • Clearing an area of enemy units
  • Inflicting a set amount of damage on an opponent.

Usually there will be multiple victory conditions allowing for partial wins or stalemates.

Note: Victory conditions can but do not need to be public knowledge. Some scenarios will contain victory conditions known only to the combatant (although he/she may of course share these with alliance members)
