Search Angels

Unless you have never been,
adopted or a birthmother
You would not understand terms used,
to address each other.
Adoption group or triad, search angels,
database, registries
I will best explain,
some thoughts about such complexities.

Groups are formed in every State,
Country, located on the net
Owners of database, registries,
you've never seen, nor met.
Register your information,
and who you're searching for
Search angels will guide you,
and lead you to much more.

They are most significant,
women of compassion, love
Giving of themselves freely,
sent from Heaven above?
Most chose this life apart from their own,
hoping for a "find"
Reuniting two lives again,
bestow you with peace of mind.

Some will sit till wee hours of dawn,
searching just for you
Responding to many emails,
making long distance calls, too.
It's an endless task,
they know what you're going through
Feeling emotions of a broken heart,
mending it just like new.

Keeping this in mind,
and appreciating who they are
Send them a thank you note,
donate to a worthy cause.
Help them to keep going,
give credit where credit is due
Don't ever forget your search angel,
who watches over you.

What greater love does another have,
it's all for humankind
To reach out to another soul,
whose eyes are hurt from time.
If, and ever you find one,
hold tight onto her wings
Believe in search angels,
for one day, your heart will sing.
