Dedicated to my Birthson, Jerry

Jerry

"HEAVEN SENT AN ANGEL"

Memories of years I have written
Expressions run rampant in my mind,
Poems to touch the heart and soul
Human error hasn't always been kind.

Three decades have come and gone
Eyes filled with sorrow and pain,
One dream, one wish is all I asked
God knows how I've searched in vain.

One night I prayed with all my heart
HE knew what was in my soul,
I dreamed a dream only spoken of
The one I wished so long ago.

The day had awakened with blessings
Unexpected, emotions ran high,
The dream I dreamed, the wish I made
As he stood, a man, before my eyes.

He sought and found his birthmother
God heard the cries of this young man,
My son, my baby, relinquished
Now has answers and understands.

We wrapped our arms around each other
Tears of joy we cried out loud,
An angel was sent from the heavens
Man cannot separate us again we vowed.
