MISSING

I saw your face through photographs,
framed upon the wall
The house that you once lived,
with stairway down the hall.
Bedroom untouched just the way it was,
from many years ago
Sketches of simplistic drawings,
clothes strewn about the floor.

The party you attended,
with friends you knew so well
It was after midnight
when all broke loose from hell.
No one knows what happened,
no one will speak the truth
Shocked by sudden disappearance
leaving behind no trace or clue.

The police, your friends and family
have looked for you for years
Leaving behind broken hearts,
tears shed upon faces of despair.
Your mother showed bravery and strength,
spoke highly of your name
She never gave up finding you,
searched for you in vain.

Psychics, candlelight vigil,
media, prayers is all she had
That someday, she would see you,
Judy, in her arms at last.
Twenty years have come and gone,
I learned just yesterday
Your mother now rests with you,
forever and a day.

I will never forget you Judy,
wristband engraved your name
A statistic among the missing,
mystery that can't be explained.
To those of you who know what
happened on that fateful night
Never forget the blood on your hands,
when you stole a young girls' life.
