THERE IS LIGHT

There is light at the end of the tunnel
Psychiatrist and therapist would say.
Cannot grasp their message nor meaning
Hard enough time coping with the day.

Walking a fine line between life and death
Struggling each morning to rise out of bed.
No shower to take, unkempt hair to comb
Can't control my thoughts, they're free to roam.

My humble heart, my grieving soul
A torn spirit I must sew.
A puzzle to solve, a riddle of life
The battle is here and I must fight.

A miracle drug I cannot find
To take away this pain of mind.
I need it now, need it today
Tired of existing from day to day.

To my Higher Power I will pray
Give me courage for one more day.
To overcome the demons, heal my soul
To see that light spoken of long ago.
