The Center Room
The Center Room is located in the central most part of the North Farcade of the Chateau, with the Marx Guilligan Hall to it's left and the Music Room to its right. The Center Room is by far one of the most elegant rooms in the hous, and is restored to the Louis XVI style of decor, with paintings of past Royalty hanging on the walls. Silk is hung on the walls to re create that elegance form the 18th Centuary. The room is most prominatly used during the inaugural ceremony when the Dressing of the Presidential Regalia by the Arch Bishop of Kensington is enacted in this room.
In July of 2006, the Center Room underwent a major redecoration, and the room's colour scheme was transformed from white panneling and red carpet to that of shimmering Blue and Gold. The Center Room has captivated visitors alike, with it's breath taking view of the North Lawn, and the North Portico.
FURNITURE AND PAINTINGS

Furniture of noteworthy value include four guilded gold chairs form the era of Louis XVI, and has been in the chateau since it's construction in the 18th Centuary. Two guilded gold sofa settees from the1 9th Centuary also compliment the room and a mahagany pier table is placed in the Center of the Room.
THE CENTER ROOM TODAY

The Center Room has been the traditional place for presidents to formally receive guests. From entertaining kings to shaking hands with the masses, the business of democracy and the social graces of diplomacy have taken place in the Center Room. When you tour the Chateau in person, be sure to take a stop by the Center Room and marvel at Living History.
