On 1st April 2006, President Cherrie, the 50th President of the Federation, will be sworn in for a second term in office, which will expire on that same day in the year 2010. Festival happenings include daily band performances and funfair outlets. Located in Central Constitution Walk, the Festival Grounds include a huge clock marking the countdown to Inaguration 2006. Visit: www.inaugurate2006.com to find out more. ___________________________________________________________________ 20 March 2006 - Tickets Required for Inaugural Ceremonies Spectators who wish to watch the Inaugural Ceremony live at State Hall will need tickets. 20,000 spectators will be able to watch the ceremony live. A total of 7,000 Tickets will be given on a first come first serve basis on the 24th of March at State Hall's Visitor Center. 10,000 other tickets are availble through one's member of Congress, or the various Town Hall/ City Halls across the Federation. Spectators can also catch the fireworks display by gathering on Constitution Walk, no tickets are required. ___________________________________________________________________ 12 March 2006 - Performance List for Inaugural Ceremonies 2006 The Inaugural Committee along with the Chateau has annonuced the performers list for the 2006 Inaugural Cermony. They include performances by Affirmation, Christine Anne, Cynthia Boroxi, Sting, Toni Braxton, Delta Goodrem and Celine Dion. ___________________________________________________________________ 10 March 2006 - Design Team for the Inagural Ceremonies The Inaugural Committee has announced that CZA&D has been apponted to work the design and the provide the creative direction of the Inaugural Ceremonies on 1st April. The team was appointed in January. CZA&D has previously worked on the 2005 Senet Party Convention Opening Bash, and the World Club EXPO 2006. Inaugural Planning has begun at State Hall's farcade, an the National Rugby Filed. Rename the "Inaugrual Field", Festivites take place in four weeks time.
