| The theme of Spring 2007 is "Open Doors and Welcome All", a reflection of creation and the story of life and rebirth. The First Lady has organized a series of activities including tours, the traditional Easter Egg Roll and a whole host of other activities! |
| The Chateau Spring Garden Tours will be held in the month of April. Originally a chance for citizens to enjoy the grounds of the Chateau, the Spring Garden Tours are a perfece opportunity to see the spring plantings of beautiful white hygendras, chrysenthmums and the traditional pink cherrie blossoms. Come Join us for the Traditional Easter Egg Roll on Easter Sunday, from 10.00 AM through 4.00 PM. Entertainment by the President's Band and other Musical Groups, along with the Easter Egg Rolling Compition all take place on the South Lawn. The Spring Plantings will take place on the South Lawn and North Lawn around the central fountians, roses and bright yellow peonies will grace the rotunda. On the Kluger Terrie, which will be transformed into the Spring Garden, look out for beautiful topiries of green hyzandras and peppermints. The trellis will bost a beautiful overflow of cherrie blossoms. Along the collonades, look out for cherrie blossoms. Toparies of fresh sprouce and peppermints grace the rooms of the Chateau. |
