| The Garden Room The Garden Room for many years had served as a cloke room to the People who were attanding balls in the ajoining Music Room. Much has not been recorded about this room, but it was once the site of Louis XIV's Bed. During the renovations which formed the Blue Room and the Butler's Stairwell, the Royal Suite was thus severely altered. The remaining space became the garden room. Against the east wall of the room is a beautiful Fresco of Louis XIV riding a horse and it was adapted by French Artists Gana d' Och in his dipictions of the Sun King. This is the largest surviving painting from French Ruled Legoland and it is one of the most historically prized painintgs in the Chateau. ____________________________________________________ THE GARDEN ROOM TODAY Today, the Garden Room is decorated in Green Leather Flux. Redecorated in 2002 by Interor designers Conrad & Gail, the room reflects a greater sense of embiance and serves as a preamble to the more majestic Music Room. Upholsteries of notewotheyness include a set of 18th Centuary Chippendale Chairs and table furniture, upholsted in soft matching pink. The room has often been used by First Ladies for Tea and Small talk, and the Preisdent also uses it to prepare himself wehn walking out to give a speech on the Kluger Terrice. During Medallion Presentaions in the Music Room, the Garden Room serves as a last minute space for the Norminal Roll to be called and frantic makeup to be put in place... VISITING Though this room is not opened on the Public Tour, should you get to visit it, do look out and appreciate the historic Frescos on the east wall. A cup of tea and scones will be fitting as you relax in the 18 Centuary Chippendale Chairs and gaze out of the french glass door onto the Kluger Terrice. |
