1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp lemon extract
2 c. flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 c. grated apple

Cream butter and shortening and add sugars, beat until light.
Add egg and extracts and beat.
Gradually add dry ingredients until completely mixed.
Add grated apple and beat well.
Drop by spoonful on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake in 350F = 180C oven for 12 – 15 minutes

Sprinkle with cinnamon while still hot.

These are positively delightful!
So soft and a great hit with the older crowd...lol!!
