Hello,

I find from time to time sites on the internet, and elsewhere, that seem to be so good that I have to share them with others.  This page is a collection site for these.  Please feel free to look at them yourselves and e-mail me with suggestions.  I have attempted to grade these as acceptable for younger students just the age that these kids are.

From the California State Department of education I have taken the Standards and made them a single page for reference.
California Visual Arts Standards All Grades

Under the category of Origami I have:

http://www.origami.vancouver.bc.ca/ All of these links are intended to get you to the sites at the foremost of current origami technology.  Each of these encourages further exploration by providing their own links as well.  Please let them know how you arrived there and spread the good word to others about our site.

 . . .and on 16 March 2006:
http://www.angelfire.com/art/gilad/index.html seems to have oodles of cool links and DIAGRAMS, that means that you can fold them yourself!  The above links also have diagrams for you to fold as well.  Try doing a search for a book called Origamido.  I have it and it is wonderful to look through to get inspiration to keep folding.

The links are web sites that at the time they were placed here were acceptable to the middle school student.  Please use the e-mail link above for reporting any unacceptable activity with my entire site.  Thank YOU!  -Mr. Myers

String Figures, what a fun thing to do!  Be sure to check out these sites for things to do on your own!

Put into a search engine the term string figures and look for images or web pages:

Some of the projects below represent the bare minimum in requirements and do not as yet contain pictorial references.  Others do contain examples and are to be used only as a reference; at no time will I allow you to copy the subject matter directly for a passing grade.
