Goal: Materials: pencil pen and nibs with ink 9 X 12 paper 8 1/2 X 11 papers envelope size paper
Steps: 2. My own original company’s name is: _________________________ 3. After filling in the above, the student is to draw 10 different ideas for a logo. Be creative and try various angles in showing the subject. THIS IS HOMEWORK IF NOT DONE DURING CLASS TIME AND IS DUE AT THE PERIOD’S START TOMORROW. 4. Take the original 10 ideas and then select one to work with. Take this one idea and redraw it 5 different ways. Try to be mindful of the positive and negative shapes, which are possible with your idea as explained in the second day’s lecture and demonstration. THIS IS HOMEWORK IF NOT DONE DURING CLASS TIME AND IS DUE AT THE PERIOD’S START TOMORROW. 5. Take one idea and now draw it full size on the 8 ½” X 11” scratch paper. Be sure to color in the shaded areas solidly. When done show Mr. Myers and get your 8 ½” X 11” white paper to do the final. Keep the original and the inked in final. You do not need to get further approval before inking. 6. The next step is to plan out the letterhead and envelope. These are to be done on scratch paper, and actual size. Be sure to neatly do the lettering on each. YOU ARE NOT TO USE YOUR STANDARD HANDWRITING!!!
Hints: *Vary the size of the lettering *Bold some of the letters *No abbreviations! *Take your time and do it neatly
*Complete all three items before asking
A = All 3 items in, original, neat, complete, and a wise use of time. B = As above, but maybe not quite as neat, or some wasted time or ?? Maybe only 2 great… C = “average” work, but nothing great. Some sloppiness, all done, an attempt to do as asked D = Below average work, wasted time, little done, sloppy, but some of the project was correct F = Little to no attempt at producing what was asked for, nor is there evidence that time was wisely spent. The failure is in attitude, most of the time
