In this page, you will get to explore the mind, events and feelings of a Chun Jui... ok, fine, judging from the past 25 years, my life is far from what you call "eventful" (in fact, "dull" might the be more appropriate adjective) but I'll try to keep my entries interesting!

All the dreary, rainy, gloomy days of the past week and a bit has certainly taken a toll on my mood. Maybe it's because I'm so tired and all of this pent-up stress is starting to make me unravel... I'm starting to actually have trouble falling asleep at night sometimes even though I'm so exhausted because my mind is still racing. There is always at least five things to do in the morning before the kids come piling in! But the kids don't even remember or notice at times--- all they remember is that we're going to have a Halloween party on Monday, that they had Pizza Lunch last week, and what they played at recess!! Arrgghh!!! :S But don't worry, I'm not really taking offense to that because I understand that kids are kids.

Anyway, my stress level has increased because the trouble-maker from the other grade two class was moved into MY class this past week-- despite all the resistance that both I and the other grade two teacher (who is my mentor) have put up. To make a long, long story short, I now have 26 students in my class whereas as the other grade two now only has 24 and the split grade 1/2 only has 22 AND I got all the new students!! :S Grrr.... I know my first year teaching is supposed be tough and I am willing to go through it but this was totally unnecessary and not beneficial to any of the parties involved. Can you say "overwhelmed"??

Don't worry though, I'm really ok, just needed to release some of this bottled up emotion. I just can't WAIT until Christmas Break!!! A friend (a teacher) and I are planning on flying to Vancouver for 5 days to get away from it all! Can't wait!!!

Whoa, another overdue update! The days have just flown by and I'm always so busy! A lot of you have asked me how I'm liking my new job so far, and my response has been, "Well,I'm liking my students now..." :P I'm always busy, things are always crazy at school, and this whole thing is one huge learning curve. However, I'm thankful that I've been able to balance my work life with my personal and social life too, which has helped greatly with the stress level. Tennis lessons are great for me to work up a sweat and work off the pent-up stress (that tennis ball gets a great whacking from me--- I just imagine it to be the annoying kid's head!! hahaha... just kidding. ) Ballet has been great too because I have to concentrate very hard to manipulate my body to hold the many unnatural positions, leaving me no room to think about work-related concerns and stress. All I think about for that one hour is how to hold those difficult positions--- eveything else just melts away. :) And of course, my many wonderful friends who I see almost every weekend has helped a lot too-- thanks for being there for me to vent!! :)

Anyway, just wanted to give a big birthday shout-out to Berlyn (whose birthday is today), and to Jane , whose birthday was on the 19th but her big birthday karaoke bash last night! Thanks for inviting me! :P Oh, and to Kendrick as well, wherever you are!

One last thing: my dear Vivee is coming soon (is it in two weeks?)!! Can't wait to see you and your honey!
