In this page, you will get to explore the mind, events and feelings of a Chun Jui... ok, fine, judging from the past 24 years, my life is far from what you call "eventful" (in fact, "dull" might the be more appropriate adjective) but I'll try to keep my entries interesting!

Hello, hello! Long time no update! As you might have guessed, the past few weeks have been nutty busy for me, so as a result this webpage was put on the backburner. Anyhoo, September is upon us once again and the routine of summer has finally ended, and I'm back at the grindstone. I've started my internship at Buttonville P.S. and boy, was that first week back at school ever long-- even though it was a shortened week!! (More whining and complaining about that later!)

So, what has happened since the last update? Well, the Summer session at preschool has finally wrapped up, with a (almost) tearful farewell to all the kids who were going off to JK. They drove me nuts but man, did I ever get attached to them (especially the good ones! heehee)! Think about it: the kids going off to kindergarten have been with me for at least 2 years and while that may not seem long but for little kids their age, so much growth happens during these two very important years. I've personally witnessed them come into preschool as toddlers screaming, kicking, yelling, and crying (can you say "separation anxiety"?),blossom into more mature, very curious, HIGHLY energetic 3 year-olds who forgot about Mom as soon as they entered our door, and now, all wise and ready for the exciting world of kindergarten. :D No matter how crazy they drove me, all of the hard work, tears, sweat, and pain (and pee, pooh, and barf!!) made it all worth it when I think about how much they've grown and partly because of me (and my co-workers, too, of course. :P). I'm gonna miss them!! :(

Then, summer concluded with the long-awaited wedding of one of my best friends, Liz during the Labour Day long weekend. After many delays, I was finally on my way into Kitchener-Waterloo on the 3rd (I never want to hear the words "change of plans" ever again!!), to make it just in time for the rehearsal. The rehearsal was ok except for many new fears the minister had managed to instill in us! For example, he emphasized over and over again that we bridesmaids NEEDED to remember to lift our skirts a little when going up the steps to the altar or face the humiliation of tripping in front of a hundred people--- um, HE-LLO?! Tripping and I are not exactly strangers, ya know! Then, there was the scenario that I had never even thought of: fainting at the altar. The minister told us a few stories of which members of the wedding party fainted at the altar because of extreme nerves!! He even mentioned that one groomsman was so hot and nervous that he fainted, fell over, split his head open on the wooden railing, and ended up getting FIFTEEN stitches!!! The challenge was on, however, because the minister said that in every fainting incident, it was always the men and never the women!! hahahaha...

Anyway, that night, I didn't sleep very well, as my roomie, the bride, turned out to be a snorer and flopper! :P But how can I get angry at my best friend, of whom I've known for 17 years on the night before her fairytale wedding? Liz looked absolutely gorgeous on her wedding day, with her beautiful, beautiful beaded and embroidered wedding gown, her romantic updo, and simple but beautiful makeup?? :P But it wasn't just the gown, her hair nor her makeup that made her so beautiful--- the pure happiness in her eyes made her the most beautiful I've ever seen her.

Then, during the ceremony (I remembered to lift my skirt and didn't trip! Yay!), I tried sooo hard not to cry (Liz and I made a bet: she betting that I was gonna cry and me betting that she was gonna cry) but it was a hard task because I had full view of the groom who was crying so hard!! My eyes welled up and my nose started to run... I had no hands to get tissue to blow my nose (I know, so classy, eh?), so I sniffled throughout the whole thing... My hands were also getting soooo sore from holding two really heavy (but very beautiful) bouquets (mine and the maid-of-honour's because she was holding ontot the bride's bouquet)... it felt like the minister would never shut up!! (He warned us about that too, actually!). After that was the photo-taking at Victoria Park (nope, not the street in Toronto nor the park in London!), where I was continuously being referred to as the "short bridesmaid" by the photographer! *grumble*

After many photos of which some were awkward (the photographer wanted us to "drape" ourselves all over the groom for a "fun" picture!! um, no...), we were finally on our way to the reception hall (I was starving!!).... And after a lot of waiting around when we were finally there, we were finally introduced to the guests and were chowing down!! :D The food was delicious but I was so stuffed... the seamstress who did my dress really didn't leave me enough room for my stomach to expand!! Then came the speeches, of which the groom gave a very sweet, very romantic speech. In his eyes and in her eyes, I saw how in love and how happy they were at that very moment. I saw that again during the bride and groom's first dance... It was sooo romantic! The guests surrounded them on the dance floor and blew bubbles while they danced. I've never been so happy for Liz because she finally, truly found her "happily ever after". :) Oh, and no, I didn't catch the bouquet because Liz had bad aim and the bouquet, after hitting the ceiling lights, landed on the floor right in front of another girl. :P Anyway, it was a fun night with lots of dancing!

Oh boy, I just realized how long this entry turned out to be and I'm not even half way done updating all of you all the things that happened since the last entry... but to make a long story short, I started school again and I'm gonna meet up with my HK crew tonight for a reunion with none other than our beloved, Vivian!!! Can't wait! ;)
