In this page, you will get to explore the mind, events and feelings of a Chun Jui... ok, fine, judging from the past 24 years, my life is far from what you call "eventful" (in fact, "dull" might the be more appropriate adjective) but I'll try to keep my entries interesting!

Phew! I did it--- I threw my very first dinner party ALL by myself! :P Actually, I did get some help from Jane and Tammy -- thanks for doing some dish duty and in preparation for the dinner! Though I was really pooped, I really did enjoy the process of cooking for my friends. I was also blessed that I didn't mess up the food, which I was afraid of doing because last night was the first time I cooked some of the dishes. I had a blast playing Taboo too-- some of the things that came out of people's mouths! hahahaha...:D Anyway, thanks, you guys, for coming and for supporting my first-ever KitchenAid Cook for the Cure party (fundraising for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation)! Amongst us, we managed to raise over $100! You guys are great!

I'd always thought I'd be strawberry Pocky (at least I'm not that Chocky stuff (fake Pocky) Tammy used to buy in HK!). What kind of Pocky are you? :)

what flavor pocky are you?

Eight more angels are being welcomed into heaven today. Although their lives were too short (including one who didn't have a chance to see the world), the Woerlen children and their mother still touched many hearts and will never be forgotten.

As I watched the live coverage of the funeral service on TV today, my heart bled for the Woerlen family's tremendous loss. Heartbreaking images of the seemingly never-ending line of caskets being carried onto the hearsts, one-by-one, seemed too tragic to believe that it was really happening. As the caskets got smaller and smaller until the tiniest one was carried out, my tears streamed down my face quicker and harder. The smallest casket was so miniscule that only one pallbearer was needed to carry it onto the awaiting hearst. There were eight caskets, five hearsts and hundreds of people whose own hearts were breaking.

As I look around my house and my eyes fall on the photos of my family and friends, there are no words that can express how blessed I feel that all my loved ones are still with me. I think about how it could happen to anyone--- to lose everything that means the world to you in one short flash. To Marc, the father and husband of the deceased, may you find peace and happiness again. God bless you.

What a fun night last night! After a lot of organization and smoothing out the details, a bunch of us went for delicious Korean food and a few hours of karaoke. :P It was also special last night because it was the first time we got to see Berlyn since she came back to Toronto! Welcome back!

On the personal side, I'm still "waiting to exhale", even though I'd thought I had been able to breathe on my own again...
