| Autumn at the Chateau is a time of relexing, and a time when the rolling lawns turn golden brown. There are many festivals and traditions held at the President's Home during this period between September through November, including the annual Lantern Festival to coincide with the National Lantern Festival. This tradition has dated back since the end of World War One. The Planting of the Autumn Gardens in something botanists take pride in, and flowers such as chyrcentamns, hygendras and yesllow, brown and olive green, all start appearing over the grounds during mid September through mid October. Another Festival more recently held at the Chateau is in mid October when there is the Pumkin carving festival. Often held informally on the South Front and Consitution walk, it is it's primise whihc leads on to Halloween, another spooky even which in recent years, has decended upon the President's Home. |
