SparkySparky is a dwarf. A very small dwarf. He gets teased about his height by his own family. He also has a rather unfortunate speech impediment. ("What thpeech impediment?") Far from causing him problems, these two notable traits have given him a lifetime of resistance to both insults and personal jokes.
Sparky has a very long beard that he ties up in a knot to avoid any short falls. If you can get him to unravel it for you, you'll note that it is extremely well cared for. Unlike his hands, which are big, strong and thoroughly calloused from years of smithing.
He's the main smith for the army, but he will take on some other work when he can. Arthur Blackweather works with him, and they have several apprentices.
