The Black Army Archery

Experts at the Longbow and Crossbow, these soldiers strive to become more efficient with their choosen weapon. They can drop a massive volley of arrows on an enemy, or fight as sharpshooters from concealed locations. The archers are an excellent tool. However, they must be protected from enemy melee attacks.
 
Uniform specifics: They carry a short sword. Lower left sleeve (or right, depending on the dominant hand) is padded with black leather.
