Author's notes: This was my fourth story. Christmas is always such a hectic season and can be so lonely. I wanted Sam and Jack to be able to share the season, to help one another heal from life's wounds. Bringing the whole team together seemed like the way to go but like any other situation involving either of them, nothing can be simple or easy.

Archived: 3/15/03 Summary: Sam's oldest friend is getting married.
She invites Sam and Jack to share in her nuptials to the shy Lieutenant Graham
Simmons. The wedding day brings emotions long denied to the surface as Sam and
Jack struggle to reconcile their feelings for one another with the events of the
last two years. Author's note: The present tense in this story is sometime after
the events of Abyss but before Prometheus. The past tense is set two months
after Revelations and a month before Redemption.
This was my fifth story and the longest to date. I wanted to try creating my own character. I felt Sam needed to have some female interaction from someone who knows about the Stargate but also knows about Sam's past. There is no friend like an old friend to tell you like it is. Susan had a very distinct voice in my head from the first words she spoke. I hope she came across as clearly to the reader as she did to Sam.

With the help of his dearest friends he returns to the planet where his life began to unravel, to find peace of mind and possibly prevent the unthinkable from ever happening.
Author�s Notes: Here it is, story number six. It is important to note that this fic was written before season six ended here in the US and without prior knowledge of canon events written for season seven.
I�m not sure what possessed me to write it really. The first sentence came to me at midnight while on a caffeine induced high, it went from there. I�ve always loved the Jack/Daniel friendship and I really enjoyed the chance to include Teal�c on a social level. I hope you all enjoy.

Summary: Colonel Jack O�Neill is rescued after a harrowing month long imprisonment offworld. He returns to the SGC not entirely sure of who he is or why he was put through such agony. With the help of Dr. McKenzie and his friends he begins to put the pieces of his life back in order and gradually uncovers a chain of events that could endanger the entire planet. With recovery brings a rediscovery of his feelings for Major Samantha Carter as well and the choice to either move their relationship forward or end it decisively. As events both on and offworld come to a stunning conclusion loyalties and friendships are put to the ultimate test and Jack must accept that he has been forever changed by the experience.
Author's Notes: Story number seven. I started this well before season seven and I don't read spoilers. Now that the season aired this story must be classified as Alternate Universe. If I had my druthers Jonas Quinn would have stayed on the team. Though he isn't a huge part of this story he is an important part and his character will be missed.
I have endeavored to be accurate with details concerning the US government and its' operations. Any mistakes are purely through my ignorance.

A/N: Affinity broke the heart of many shippers. The scene in the lab was brilliantly played by Amanda Tapping and Richard Dean Anderson. Despite the mundane nature of the dialogue a great deal of feeling came across. Bravo to them and to Peter DeLuise for such effective direction.
As a writer and a Shipper I was driven to respond in some fashion to what happened. I wanted Jack to be angry and be able to vent that anger and hurt in some fashion. I also wanted Sam to see the reason she fell in love with Pete in the first place and why it was never a valid enough support for a lifetime of committment. I chose to write part one from Jack's POV and part two from Sam's as I thought it would be the most effective way to express the feelings of the characters and this author. I hope you enjoy. She wants to help heal the scars of his past and for the first time in four years Jack feels loved. The sensation leaves him at a loss and a chance encounter with Sam and Pete at a local eatery serves to illustrate how far he still has to travel in the healing process. A car accident leaves everyone with questions and Jack with a choice that will effect the rest of his life.
A/N I started this story at the end of November 2004. At that time I had no idea what plot developments were in store for the second half of season eight. At this posting Gemini-Full Alert have aired and the spoilers for next season reveal that Jack is being promoted and not retiring. So take the story as you will. A/N After Moebius II aired I realized that certain questions would never be answered. As a Shipper and a realist I never had any serious hope of catharsis between these characters, hence this story. It is a tale of conversations. I put Jack and Sam in a truck and turned the key. It was talk or sit in abject misery for 12 hours. Given the choice I think the characters would choose the former. I hope you enjoy this piece. With the exception of Atonement it will quite likely be my last Stargate SG-1 fanfic.
