George W. EAGLE, born in 1822, is buried in the "Yankeetown" cemetery south of Reedsburg, just over the Ashland County-Wayne County Line. His grave is not far from Thomas Eagle and his family. Was George W.Eagle Thomas' son?? In 1851 Thomas Eagle's son, John, wrote his wife from the Gold Fields of California - "Tell brother William that I want him to keep out of bad company and to lead a better life for now is the time to learn good habits." WHO WAS "BROTHER WILLIAM" ??

Searching for the Wampfler family descendants. The Wampflers came to the US in 1882 from Switzerland.David Wampfler is listed as head of household in 1900. His wife Rosa, children, Laura, Clara, Ida,Caral(Karl), and William. Mother in law Rosa Karlin. They lived in Hanover Township. I believe it says Loudenville village.

A family of headed by Christian Gingrich, Sr (1782-1839) lived in Ashland County, Ohio in the 1820s and 1830s. Sometime in the 1830s, at least some of them moved to Stark County, Illinois. Christian Gingrich, Jr., married Mary Ann (Maria Anna Magdalena) Coleman (1817-1897) d/o Valentine Coleman III and his first wife, Catharine Schultz. Valentine married Eva Schultz in 1822. I have information that a Daniel Gingrich married a Polly Coleman in Richland, Ohio in 1835. I do not know if he is any relation to the other Gingriches. However, there was a Daniel Gingrich 1808-1885) who was born in Pennsylvania and who lived and died in Stark County, IL. His first wife's name was Polly (died before 1850).

I am trying to document my Grandfather: Fred Slocum B: abt. 1888 D:1957 in Ashland, Oh. His mother was Elizabeth /?/ B: abt 1859 D: 1954 in Ashland, Oh. Married: Anna Irene Wolleson B:1893 in Little Washington, OH. They had 2 children: Edwin F. Slocum B.28 Jan 1912 D.16 Nov 1967 In Ashland, and Kathryn Violet /Slocum/Shaum B.6 July 1917 D. 7 Dec 1962 in Ashland Ohio. He was a farmer and teamster. I remember a farm on county road 956 north of Ashland. I believe he had a sister named Edith that also lived in Ashland.

I am looking for any YOUNGLING people. John Youngling b 1781 in Germany. Was a powder maker. Believe his children included: David b 1809; John P. b 1810; Daniel b 1814 and possibly an Andrew. All born in PA I think. They moved to Ashland Co, OH. David married Katherine Knaub in 1837. Their children all born in Ashland Co were: Angeline b 1837; John D b 1842; David b 1844; In 1847, David married #2 Eliza Price. Their child was born in 1850, Eliza. Believe Daniel married Leah ? in 1846. Their children were: Martha; Luther; Lydia. John P Youngling moved to Olney, IL where he later married Eliza Miller in 1877. Can any one help me on this?

Would like more information on Caroline Eliza Curry of Loudenville, Ashland Co. born 10/2/1842(3), died 11/17/1892 or 1/12/1893 and buried at Mound Hill Union Cem., Eaton, Preble Co. She was married to Dr. Robert Davidson Huggins 3/25/1866 of Preble Co. I beleive her parents were James (H) Curry and Clara Hoke but would like confirmation and additional information with dates and siblings. Robert and Caroline had William Toland and Bertha A. married to Philip A. Sailor.

She was the step-sister of Mary Moore, daughter of John Moore. Cornelius d. 1815, and their daughter Hiley married Peter Long in Marion Co OH in 1825, while son Cornelius V. married Elizabeth Long June 23, 1836. Need information on this family
