HELTMANS in Ashland Co--Joseph and Catherine Goldman Heltman, both born in PA, married in PA, moved to Ashland Co, OH sometime after 1818. They and 4 children, Joseph, Emanuel, Rachel, and William, are in the 1850 Milton Twsp census records. Older daughter Sarah married Thomas W. STOVER, in 1840 in Ashland Co, and they moved to Green Co WI by 1850. Another son, Andrew, was born in 1820. Joseph died Sep 12, 1873, in Milton. DAR records say Catherine died Apr 5, 1888, in Ashland, Ashland, OH. Any information on Joseph's parents, and the siblings of Sarah (I have an 11 year gap between Andrew and the next known birth year--Joseph, 1831) and the descendents of the Heltman family would be appreciated. Also interested to know if Thomas was the only STOVER in the area, or if he was there with his family. Would also appreciate any documentation-- death record, obit--of Joseph and Catherine, or where to write for information. Are there HELTMANs still in the area? Thanks for your help.
