For the UNS Marines, the primary on-planet troop-transport is the M-155 APC.  Built by Krupp-Henschel Industries in Germany, the four centimeter durasteel armor plating is capable of stopping weapons fire up to and including 50 caliber armor-piercing rounds.  The ten ton chassis is built around an all-wheel drive Rolls-Royce 16-cylinder diesel engine producing over 1000 horsepower.  Designed to be carried in either the CS-4 Appaloosa or the C-420 Goliath, the M-155 APC is an important part of any mechanized infantry unit.  The M-155A1 AEV (shown bottom) is a custom variant Armored Engineering Vehicle built specifically for the UNS Marine Combat Engineers.
