I actually find it very difficult to find anything good to say about the city of Houston itself. Were it not for the fact that I have several friends who live in or near the city, I doubt if I would go there frequently. So for me, it is the people who make this city, not the actual city itself, for it is built on flat uninteresting land, on which the tallest thing you can see is often the sign indicating where the nearest McDonalds can be found. It does however have  a very good variety of eating places, and some nice museums, which redeems the city a little for me. Having said that, I have in fact visited the city four times now.
