This was the very first city which I visited in The United States of America, if one discounts Chicago through which we had to travel in order to catch Amtrak's "Empire Builder"; the train which would take us from Chicago to Seattle. (We had travelled from Canada to Albany Rensselaer in New York State in order to catch the "Lake Shore Limited" which as so often, was running very late and gave us a zero time connection in Chicago. |

Seattle's principal and probably best known landmark is the Space Needle, which is to be found adjacent to the Seattle Centre. I photographed it from the other side of this attractive fountain in the adjacent park on 3rd July 1998. |
