2nd Organizing Committee Meeting
Venue: Frankie Choy’s home
Date/time: Jun 12, 04, 8-10pm
Tuan Pin, Gim Kooi, Kheng Seng, Eng hong, Beng Hooi, Soo Siew, Kay Seong, Frankie Choy. (Boon Chooi & Beng Teong were excused for the meeting)
Minutes:
As usual, the committee agreed that the date of gathering should fall around the Chinese New Year (CNY) as we expect most of the people will be in Penang. The coming CNY is on Feb 9, 2005 (Wednesday). The proposed gathering date is Feb 12, 2005 (Saturday, 4th day of CNY).
Several proposals of gathering events have been discussed in the Meeting as below:
- 1st choice - Pulau Jerejak Vacation
- limited rooms available and expensive (room rate about RM100 - RM120/person)
- 2nd choice - Vacation + Dinner at Penang Hotel (tale-match, games, dinner, ...)
- Mutiara Resort- Choy
- Holiday-Inn - Soo Siew
- Park Royal - Lim KS
- BayView - Kay Seong
Finally, committee decided to drop the 1st choice and proceed to the 2nd choice. Frankie, Soo Siew, Kheng Seng and Kay Seong will be getting the quotation from hotels for next meeting.
The committee also discussed about the
affordable price for the vacation. The price range from RM300-RM350 might be reasonable for
couple. 
Gim Kooi will be going to arrange some publicity on local news paper to inform about the reunion event that we are going to carry out.
Next meeting will be on Jun 26, 2004, at Frankie Choy’s home again from 8pm to 9pm.
