| 1st Thursday of February THE FEAST OF STA. MARIA Sta. Maria, Bulacan The fiesta and procession in honor of the Blessed Mother of Sta. Maria. 1st Week of February ATI-ATIHAN SA TAGOLOAN Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental Street dancing culminating at the shoreline followed by Sakay-sakay. All barangays participate in a procession of with respective Patron Saints. 4th Week of February BAGUIO FLOWER FESTIVAL Baguio City A week-long Floral Exhibit highlighted by a Grand Floral Parade, Landscaping Competition and Sale of Ornamental Plants. February INTERNATIONAL BAMBOO ORGAN FESTIVAL Las Pinas City A ten-day cultural event, which features international classical performers and utilizes the spectacular bamboo organ of St. Joseph�fs Parish Church, Las Pinas. February PISTANG SINING Rizal Park, Manila It is an annual event held in observance of the National Arts Month every February. It is characterized by exhibitions on sculpture, painting, dance performances, music, etc.. Museum tours are also being conducted for students and employees. February STA. CLARA DE MONTEFALCO Pasay City Is a traditional religious festival where around 30 marching bands (brass bands) are being invited to compete for the grand championship. February CHINESE LUNAR YEAR Nationwide The Chinese observance of the New Year marked by a Festive Lion Dance, Fire works and Street Parade. February 1-28 FESTIVAL OF HEARTS Tanjay, Negros Oriental In celebration of Valentines, the tourism council of Tanjay is coming up with a festival of romance showcasing a nightly Harana, Baile ng Bayan, Mass Wedding/Renewal of Vows and the coronation of SKs Search for Miss Valentines. February 2 TALAK FESTIVAL Katipunan, ZDN A cultural dance revival of the Subanen harvest, wedding and healing rituals. February 2 FEAST OF OUR LADY OF CANDLES Jaro, Iloilo City The biggest and most opulent religious pageantry in Western Visayas. The blessing of candles and the yearly procession of the patroness, the Nuestra Senora de Candelaria is followed by the Fiesta Queen and her court. February 3 FLUVIAL PARADE Tagaloan, Misamis Oriental A Fluvial parade/processions in celebration of the town fiesta. February 7-10 SAN FERNANDO CITY FIESTA San Fernando, La Union Funfare/musical extravaganzas featuring showbiz personalities like Sharon Cuneta with farm gadgets; agro-industrial trade fair; contest of biggest farm harvest and livestock. February 7-10 JOINT LAOAG CITY & PROVINCIAL FIESTA Laoag City Feast day of Saint William, Patron Saint of Laoag City. Celebrations include Floral Parade to be participated in by different municipalities, schools, LGUs and NGOs; zarzuela, coronation of Bb. Laoag City & Ilocos Norte as the highlight of the week long affair. February 11 TINAGBA FESTIVAL Iriga City A tradition of the first harvest offering coinciding on the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes. Derived from the early rituals of the ancient Bicolanos offering their harvest to their own Gods as a form of thanksgiving and to seek favor for a more bountiful harvest throughout the year. A long parade of colorfully and grandiosity decorated bull and carabao carts, carrying newly harvested crops, ending with a mass before the Emerald Grotto at Calvary Hills. Here, all the offerings are amassed and blessed, then distributed to indigent families. February 13-20 SUMAN FESTIVAL Baler, Aurora A week long celebration marked by trade exhibits, fairs and competitions capped by the Search for Ms. Aurora. Page 2 |
