Whole Month of Dec. PASKU SA SUGBU Cebu City An annual Christmas celebration by lighting and decorating the main thoroughfares in Cebu City starting from the Capitol down to Plaza Independencia. Whole Month of Dec. PASKO SA TANJAY Tanjay Town, Negros Oriental A month long Christmas festivities featuring cultural presentations and contests participated in by the Tanjay residents, civic organizations and business establishments. Tanjay, with its myriad holiday lights and Christmas trees become a virtual "Christmas City" during the festival that begins on December 1 and ends on the feast of the Three Kings. PASKUHAN SA DUMAGUETE CITY Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental To enliven the holiday season, all sectors of the city are enjoined to light up their respective places or establishment and to use the sinamay either as the main material or accent in their Christmas decorations. 2nd Week of Dec. - 1st Week of Jan. KARISYOHAN HAN PASKO HA PALO Palo, Leyte A month-long celebration focusing on the beautiful traditions of Christmas like midnight mass, Christmas carols, drum & bugle corps competition and contest for best lighted barangays. 3rd Week of December GIANT LANTERN FESTIVAL San Fernando, Pampanga The San Fernando Giant Lantern Festival is a parade of ornate and cleverly illuminated lanterns. Some of the giant lanterns reach 40 feet in diameter and are brilliantly illuminated by 1,6000 light bulbs. December CHRISTMAS IN BAGUIO Baguio City A month-long celebration of the nativity of Christ the event feature selection of the lucky foreign visitor and the hosting of Balikbayans who spend their vacation in the Cordilleras. December CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL Zamboanga City In celebration of the Yuletide season through the participation of the city schools. December PASKUHAN SA IMUS Imus, Cavite A month-long festival that celebrates Philippines Christmas. The town of Imus is bathed in thousands of lights, a dazzling array of lanterns of all shapes and outdoor decor that evoke the warm memories of one�fs childhood. December 1-31 KAMUNDAGAN FESTIVAL Naga City In the month of December, Naga City opens its door for a whole month in celebrating its charter anniversary and the Birth of Christ with the cooperative efforts of Camarines Sur and Iriga City. December 2-3 GRAND MARIAN PROCESSION Fort Santiago, Manila Cathedral A revival of religious traditions with more than 50 images of the Virgin Mary. December 3 BENDIAN FESTIVAL Kabayan, Benguet A town fiesta of the municipality of Kabayan in Benguet province. The event is marked by feasting dancing and rituals to appease the spirits of their departed ancestors. December 5 - 8 SINADYA SA HALARAN Roxas City A combined festival commemorating the feast day of the Immaculate Conception and the province�fs celebration marked by activities such as "Diana", fireworks display, grand dance parade, food fests and Capiz dance festival. December 5- January 5 CHRISTMAS SYMBOLS FESTIVAL Tangub City Display of different indigenous Christmas symbols. A most spectacular display of Christmas lights and decors including a Christmas carol contest. December 5-8 FIESTA DE AGOO Agoo, La Union Celebration of the Foundation Day of Agoo. Its highlight is Lantern Parade (Grand Civic Parade) featuring homemade lanterns and the coronation of Miss Agoo, giving awards to the Bannuar ti lli and Dakilang Datu Award. December 7 KAROKATIK FESTIVAL Burauen, Leyte An ethnic celebration commemorating the conversion of Muslims to Christianity. December 8 FEAST OF IMMACULATE CONCEPTION Puerto Princesa City A grand celebration of the city�fs Patrones highlighted by parade of colorfully-adorned floats with images of the Virgin Mary. December 8 IMMACULATE CONCEPTION DAY Cotabato City Patronal town fiesta in Cotabato City highlighting civic military and cultural parade. Other events are trade fair, cultural shows sports competition and religious activities. December 8 OUR LADY OF IMMACULATE CONCEPTION FIESTA Penaplata Island Garden City of Samal, Davao Mintal, Davao City Surallah, South Cotabato Fiesta celebration of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception. Religious and sports activities are the highlights during the occasion. December 8 SAN TEODORO FOUNDING DAY ANNIVERSARY AND THE FEAST OF IMMACULATE CONCEPCION San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro "TAYAKAD": Dancing Event "StiltsMasters" systematically march and sway with the music to the delight of the audience. December 11 PAMPANGA DAY San Fernando, Pampanga The people of the province of Pampanga celebrates the official founding date of Pampanga as the first province of Luzon on Dec. 11, 1571. The annual celebration is called "ALDO NING KAPAMPANGAN." December 15-19 SHARIFF KABUNSUAN FESTIVAL Cotabato City A celebration in commemoration with the arrival of Shariff Kabunsuan in Mindanao to bring Islam civilization.
