| Love Is.... Love is times remembered When hearts were glad and free, A time when all was right A time before things went so bad for me. Love is flowers and trees and wind That cover the earth and sky, But why can't love remove the pain And this constant urge to cry. Love is a hummingbird Buzzing through the summer air, It takes the nectar sweet and mellow While I search for the heart to care. Love is the bubble of the stream As it flows along the countryside, Sharing its bounty with man and beast But that could well be all the tears I've cried. Love is a robin on her nest Caring for her young ones there, But try as I might to enjoy the sight I find that I just don't care. Love is for me the day I once more Can be with the one I loved and lost, Until that day I will struggle through Tho I know my own life one day will be the cost. Copyright June 1999 Jarrett's Mom |
