He Was Still There Plans were made for him to be there Part of the ceremony he would be, His sister counted on his presence For him to be there for her to see. But long before the day arrived His maker called him home, To fill his place was quite a task It forced her mind to roam. The day was finally here at last When she walked down the aisle, Those attending could not see him there He came in his own style. As her mother watched from the pew A movement caught her eye, Beside his mother he sat down And she need not ask him why. He was there for his sisters big day And most would never know, His spirit came to celebrate Tho to most it did not show. His love was felt by sis and mom His spirit a comforting force, And as the day came to an end He was there to stay the course. Copyright September 1999 Jarrett's Mom |
