The Art of Surviving

While we are living upon this earth
One thing we are forced to learn;
Is the art of surviving
While  around us the world seems to crash and burn.

That is what life feels like
When a child you love is called home;
You may have learned the art of surviving.
And all your mind wants to do is roam.

The art of surviving is no easy task
Tho one we all must face;
If we are to go on with life
And not let time our memories erase.

When you have learned the art of surviving
You will know how hard it actually can be;
To pretend to be happy when your heart is breaking
So inside your heart the world cannot see.
