How can I go on without him
Do I really want to try,
With days and nights so lonely
I really only want to cry.
Dear God, what do you expect
Me to do day after lonely day,
How can you think I can go on
When he is gone from my life to stay.
How in this world can I ever go on
Why would anyone think it can be done,
There is no possible way on this earth
I can go on without my sweet son.
Why did he have to leave me
To live out my life alone,
Please God, you have to help me
Before my lonely heart is turned to stone.
