Christmas Without Him

As Christmas Day approaches
Presents begin to appear;
Signs of the season are everywhere
Lights and tinsel far and near.

These signs of the season
To me once meant so much;
Before the angels took away
His tender loving touch.

Now as Christmas Day is here
And presents set under the tree;
I only have memories to hold
His eternal spirit to comfort me.

Tho Christmas will come and Christmas will go
Never will they be the same;
As they were when he was here with me
To answer when I called his name.

I will survive this holiday
And oh so many more;
While he celebrates with Jesus in Heaven
And will forevermore.
