Happy Birthday in Heaven, Sweet Son

Today is your birthday one again
Though it is not spent with me;
With Jesus and the angels in Heaven
Is where you will forever be.

Nineteen years ago today
Into my life you did come;
And stayed but a little while
Before God called you home.

Never a day passes that I don't miss you
And want you with me just one more day;
But Jesus bide you come to Him
And with Him you will ever stay.

I know that you are with me still
Although your body I no longer see;
You live eternally in my memories and heart
No one can take that away from me.

I had you with me nearly fifteen years
Before a reckless act took you away;
Each birthday brings wondering that will ne'er be fulfilled
Of how you would look if I saw you today.

I wish you the happiest of  birthdays in Heaven
With God and the angels by your side;
Save a place for me in your Heavenly home
For with you I will one day abide.

Until we are together once more
My love for you will never lessen or cease;
I pray each day that when my time comes
I finally can rest in peace.
