His Gift

As his birthday comes again
The second that he won't be here,
A birthday gift is on its way
So soon it will appear.

The gift is one that he will love
Tho here he will not be,
Still by her side he will stay
Till the baby he does see.

And three days after his birthday
His nephew did appear,
Without a doubt I know he was there
Of that she need not fear.

This precious child was his gift
Another he would not ask,
A better gift she could not give
It would be an impossible task.
