Song: "I know youre out there somewhere out there" By Our Lady Peace
Mood: Wondering
Time: 12:06pm
Weather: Nice and cool out

Friday was a long day for me. I worked from 9am until midnight. Typically, I get a nice break at least for some part of the day, but this was not a typical day. I was doing coordinator stuff at DSA then moved onto a tour at the MK for MNSSHP with a family. It was fun after the initial discussion of what I was there for. Interesting evening, but very positive in the long run. The parade for the Halloween event was cool. My favorite part was the skeleton musicians (of course) and the Haunted Mansion part was amazing!

After the long and exhausting day I met up with K and peeps at PI to see the Leonard Brothers and hang with Rob. It was fun, but I wasn't there long and was so tired to begin with that all I wanted to do was fall over and sleep forever. Headed out at that point and crashed only to sleep in the next afternoon to the point of almost missing my oil change appointment.

Went to Mitsubushi and while waiting for my oil to be changed, I walked down OBT (in which I got "hollered" at twice) to the Best Buy (bad idea). I ended up buying three cds/dvds that I have been wanting, but really didn't need. Ah well. You only live once right. Might as well enjoy the time while you are here, even if you are in debt the entire time. *grin*

My oil change was done just in time for me to then head over to my dentist for my appointment there. Took all of maybe twenty minutes and I was suffering from numbness on only half of my mouth. What an uncomfortable feeling and all I could do was wait until it wore off. Grrr. Not happy about that.

Met up with K and we got ready for the Yellowcard show. Headed down to the UCF arena and met up with Julie, Kim, 867 and Kim's friend. Within five minutes of being there I ran into Matt from Honestly and his girlfriend. They are adorable! "Are you living here now?" Funny how he is always hanging around. "Apparently you have good taste in music, except that whole Honestly thing" Very funny there kid, HONESTLY ROCKS!

Got a text from Katie to meet her on the right side of the stage and she would meet me with my pass. It was so good to see her. She grabbed me and took me to where the rest of YC was at. They were VERY into the GA/FL game and amazingly enough were rooting for GA. I was surprised seeing as though they all are from Jacksonville. Who knew? But all of them (except one) were wearing their GA gear and getting really into the game, so I joined them on their tour bus and watched a little bit with them. I am not the biggest football fan, but I did want to catch a bit of the Acceptance show so I walked out with LP and Katie to see the last bit of their set.

When I had got on the bus, the first person I saw was Judd and he was so excited to see me and surprised as well. I guess LP didn't tell anyone that I was visiting. Then I saw Mike, Judd's friend who had hung out with us a few times throughout the week with YC. Then, Ryan came to life and said hey. Pete didn't recognize me at first, which is not shocking since I have contacts now, but once he did, he was so talkative, much more than at Grad night. It was good to see him. Didn't get to see Sean at that point. I just hoped and prayed he was somewhere around. Can't have a YC show without the "jumper" and violinist!

Met up with my crew and watched YC's crew set up the stage for the show. I spotted Henry on stage and I texted him "Hey from the crowd! -ur VIP tour guide Carolyn" and I kinda forgot that I sent it to him and then I noticed he was looking at his cellphone smiling and showing it to the other crew members on the stage including Chris (the lights guy) and they started looking in the crowd so I waved and they immediately saw me and threw their arms up in the air as if it was hard for me to see them (they are adorable!). So cute! Chris came down to say hello and I saw Henry later and gave him a big hug too. I adore them! Such great guys. Got to see Paul as well and Brad (but didn't get to say hello). Jimmy from Big 10-4 was there as well. So random who we run into at shows. I love it.

YC came on and rocked out the arena. Not the best acoustics in the place, but their energy was amazing and they rocked out. Sean cracked me up per usual and Pete was at his finest. I did not enjoy their new guitarist though, but I am a bit biased because I really miss Ben. Ah well. But I don't think the stand in guitarist did the riffs as well as Ben regardless. LP rocked the house especially with his drum solo, it was amazing! They make me happy!

Got done with the show and went to say goodbye to the guys and bumped into Sean and he was too cute when he saw me. I adore that kid. He's too cute! Good times. Wanted to say goodbye to everyone else so Mike took Kevin and I back to everyone and we said our thank yous and goodbyes. I love those kids! Good times.

It was an early show so Kevin and I decided to go get a bite to eat at Bennigans and then headed to PI to see the Leonard Brothers and hang out with Rob for yet another evening. Met up with Gino and his friend there and met some new friends as always. The LBs were dressed up in Top Gun gear (thought of you Cali) and were looking HOT! They crack me up. Such good musicians and wonderful people, but I can't get past the brother's animated acts and singing. It just makes me giggle. Great performers and they really get into the crowd so all is fun time after time in seeing them.

Needless to say, I was so exhausted after Saturday so I went home and crashed after mumbling some catch up chatting with Jordan. Woke up bright and early for a horrible day on Sunday at DSA. It was such a bad day, I can't even get into it but it was frustrating and I am just glad it's over. I did get a wonderful call from both Kevin and John Frank so that made me feel better (thanks to both of you).

I ran some errands yesterday and then rested, which felt so nice. Slept too long and again I go to work. Cannot wait for AAR. I am stoked and I am counting down.

"Waiting, when I'm waiting (don't you know) I've been here before, and I don't care where I'm going. So I'll stay..."

Song: "Tell me that you're alright and everything is alright" By Motion City Soundtrack
Mood: Great!
Time: 5:47pm
Weather: So nice!

Happy Birthday to Kevin on Tuesday! 11 my friend! Loved your message this morning and so sorry I couldn't be there to celebrate with you last night, but tomorrow night is gonna rock! "On your birthday we will make up....on your birthday, it's KEVIN's birthday, yeah!"

Headed to Melbourne with John Frank the night before last to see Mr. Rob Thomas in concert at the King Preformance Arts Center. Perfect seats, perfect show, perfect everything. It was so amazing to finally see Rob Thomas in person and "right there". I have always wanted to see Matchbox Twenty live, but never had the opportunity and this was pretty darn close. Rob played an amazing version of "3am" that almost brought me to tears. His drummer was so fun to watch, an amazingly talented and fun guy it seemed. Rob even played some drums with him. That was fun to witness. It was an intense show with funk, latin, and intimate vibe that I can't even describe. The crowd was a bit questionable, but overall it was just an amazing time.

Rob played a lot of his songs from his new album, which I have, but I enjoyed the live versions much better. He played some songs from Tabitha's Secret like "Dear Joan" and others I have never heard before that were amazing. He played a song called "Tragedy" that he wrote for Marc Anthony and it had been released on September 12th after 9-11 had just occurred and was basically hidden because of the name of the song, but he fumbled his way through it and amazed us all.

I found it interesting that Rob and his band played a Smashing Pumpkins song which was amazing and then played a Duran Duran song as well. Cracked me up. Nice verisons of both! Cracked me up. Rob then came out for his encore by himself and played an amazing verison of "Push" that had so much passion behind it and the best version I have ever heard. An amazing experience. It's so interesting how his music effects me so much. The lights were amazing and the set was so simple that it felt like it was just you and him in this venue. I loved watching his movements that only he could recreate over and over again. The way he taps his hand on his chest at a rapid movement. The way he bounces so lightly on his feet and how he makes wave movements with his free hand. I love his facial expressions when he really gets into it and the way he grabs the back of his head to show his passion for the lyrics in the song he's singing. Amazing is the only word I can think to possibly describe the experience.

It was a good time experiencing Rob Thomas with someone else who admired him the same as I do. We were both in awe and enjoying every moment. "If you're gone" was the first MB20 song he sang and it was so great to hear that live. Just awesome! John Frank held back on his "opera voice" and sang really well along with Rob Thomas *grin* It was good times.

Favorite quote of the night was "I was suppose to get Carolyn drunk so I could drive home and she could give me **** but there was no alcohol allowed in the theater. She's not *that* easy" while on the phone with Matty Matt. Classy. Gotta heart John Frank. Never heard a pick up line like that before. Got to hear his new cd on the way to the venue. It's coming along very nicely. I enjoyed it much better than "the coaster" *grin* I heart YOU JF! And no you should not take off the jacket like RT did, it's clearly a trademark move.

Good times my friends. Good times. We discussed musical influences and experiences during most of the drive and laughed about how similar *some* artists music reflects others. It amazed me after he let me borrow a cd of his of how close it sounds to other cds I have heard recently. Fun times.

Last night I raced home from work to meet up with K-dawg for his birthday celebration. It was craziness from people getting stuck in traffic, getting lost, getting mad, etc, but once everyone got there and calmed down the party started! It was a large group of several taking up three full long tables. Great fun with good friends! A choir of Wing House girls serenaded Kevin for his birthday and brought him chocolate, how much more perfect can you get?

K loved his gifts, all of them *grin* and laughed more than anything. Everyone seemed to have a great time, but a lot had to leave "early" (around 11:30ish) due to work the next morning, but the few of us that stayed around partied like rock stars until the wee hours of the night. We went to Rob's place to post party and then to Margaritaville for more good times. Got to see AJ and Dave! :) I love those kids. Danced the night away and then we all decided it was a good idea to go to Walmart. Why? Not sure, but whatever. Then, headed back to Rob's, where my night ended. Good times all around. K had an excellent time and that made me happy! Celebrate good times.....

I am so stoked cause Yellowcard is this Saturday, All-American Rejects twice in two weeks coming up, Thursday is party time with K-dawg. Good times ahead!

Song: "And when the memory slips away there will be a better view from here and only lonesome you remains and just the thought of you I fear it falls away" By All-American Rejects
Mood: Positive
Time: 10:58am
Weather: Welcome Hurricane Wilma

First off, Happy Birthday to my Nick Milligan! I miss you and hope that you rock out on your birthday in Montana just as you would rock out here in the FLA!

So, it's been awhile (more than a month-wow)...again since I have posted. I haven't had time...simply put. Let's see if I can do a run down of what I have been doing lately.

*Went to the ATL to see the last offical show of Honestly. Met up with Beth and traveled to Oxford to see them play an outdoor rockin show with bugs and college students. Great show, small stage, best guys in music. I miss you already boys.
*Got delayed three flights and finally made it back to Florida with Amy J as my ride, drove at the speed of light down to Tampa to offically ruin Katrina's birthday surprise. Partied with Valerie, Cali, Gianina, Tony, Gino and Katrina for her birthday in a five star resort with enough alcohol to make us all pass out and freeze until morning. Happy 21st my friend!
*Went to the dentist for the first time since 1998 when they told me I had to have all four wisdom teeth removed and I stopped going at that point. Was told again to make my appointment for all four wisdom teeth to be removed and I have to get a crown on one of my cracked teeth. Nice teeth karma coming back and biting me in the end. Great. No way to avoid both this time. Made my appointments and am prepared to be in pain soon.
*Said goodbye to Tom Strunk as he went into Retirement! Was very sad, but I enjoyed getting to know him in the time I did, hopefully I will run into him again!
*Went to see Tony Lucca two nights in a row, once with Rachel and another with Nikki, Chris Mac and Jamie. The second night Dax came with Jen McGill and they had a duo which rocked all of our socks! Amazing artists they are!
*Was suppose to be on The Rock Boat at the end of September, but due to Hurricane Katrina, it was postoned until January and I went to Texas instead.
*Met up with B in the ATL and went to see Mike with Agent 99 at Smith's Old Bar (small world, funny how we ended up in the same place at the same time) and then to a country lesbian bar (how does that happen?) and it was fun just watching. Aw the things I do for B! Love ya girl!
*Headed to Texas and met up with Jessica to explore her new hometown. Keep Austin Weird! I loved the place, it was great to visit and see the Real World House and the bars in TX. Met a couple of her friends and had a great time going to The Oasis (bad food, great view), attempting to watch "the bats" and seeing the clock tower turn orange for the UT win! Great seeing Jess again!
*Nick came to visit from Montana and we went to meet up with him after an amazing Matt Nathanson show at The Social! He rocked my socks and impressed me after his impromtu rendition of Matty Matt's request. Hella funny!
*Ran into Erik on the streets of Downtown Orlando, Pete Woj and Matty Matt followed shortly after. Got stalked by crazy downtown guys and Nick soon followed for his visit. Good times with good friends!
*Ran into Roy at the airport. The rock star that he is and has become was wearing shades inside to cover his "bloodshot eyes" and with his scruffy face, and black suit over a band t-shirt he looked like he just stepped off of stage. He rocks!
*Worked really late one night, but didn't stop me from grabbing Shannon and Amy J and heading up to Gville to catch Berg and The Curve rocking out at Abbey Road. Was so good to see my friends and hang out! The Curve rocked it but poor Mikey took a hard rock-star fall on the floor. Poor boy, but he still rocked it hard core. That guy cannot be stopped. I adore ya kid. We all met up and hung out at the hotel. Chris Martin came too...good times all around. Who will he make out with now? *grin* Kim and 867 jumped in the frozen pool. Craziness! Got up early and headed back for work.
*Went to watch Ashton at Slingapores. Saw Michael and Matt from Honestly! "What are you doing here?" So cute! Met his girlfriend and hung out a bit with all the cool kids. Julie, Shannon, Anna, Sara and friend. Good times with Ashton. JSun and the Congregation was there and rocked out the place as well. I adore Ashton "Hey!" in the middle of a song...he rocks my socks!
*Said goodbye to my Internationals, Cecile, Daniela, Eduardo, Massimo, Miwa & Tomomi at The Ale House. So sad to see them go. Was good to hook up with everyone that night though! I like events! Congratulations Sarah Smith! And we finally have our Cali dates! Happiness!
*Had a moment and decided to go down to West Palm Beach with Julie to surprise The Curve. Got to Jumby Bay and rocked out with friends! Saw Sean, Gary, Amanda, Crissy, Katie, "DAVY JONES!" and more. Good times with good friends! We rocked out and Mikey was feeling better it seemed from his fall. Mikey danced some dances at the end and DJ'd some NSYNC, rock on Mikey!
*Next night went to Our Lady Peace for the celebration of Valerie's birthday. Met up with K-dawg, Gino, Shane, Valerie and found Chrissy and Katie there as well. Time was in the front row rockin out and we were all enjoying ourselves about two feet away from the stage. Amazing artists and fun crowd. Rocked the place and went home sleepy.
*Next night, again at Hard Rock Live for Matty Matt's show. Got to go "backstagggge!" and meet the new drummer, Jeremy, Clayton Hall's bassist, Pete Woj and friends. Matt and friends rocked it to an intimate crowd in a freezing venue. Valerie and I rocked it at merch and sold three cds before the show started. Nice people, creepy people and good times.
*Next was Fall Out Boy where Kim, Jennie, Julie and I set out on a mission for tickets. Got all four within an hour of the show beginning. Ran into Alese and Woodale boy and a worried James in the form of a promoter for Motion City Soundtrack. Got in just in time to watch MCS and I fell in love. Bought the cd, got another beer. Got trampled in my first mosh pit, got forced into battle mode, protected my feet at all costs (no more flip flops ever at shows!), and got saved by Julie and Kim more times than I can count. Good times and great show!
*Met up with K, Gino and Rob at Margaritaville and rocked out to the Leonard Brothers all night.
*Got my tickets for All-American Rejects and Yellowcard coming up! So STOKED!
*Met up with K and Rob (Leonard Brothers) for a mock VIP tour with the amazing Heather! Had a great time exploring Disney-MGM Studios while being on the other side of a tour. I was relaxed and didn't look at my watch the entire time! Awesome! Went on RRC and TOT and watched Muppets. Good times!
*Helped celebrate with the new Tour Guides at Town Tavern in Celebration and partied like a rock star.
*Went to Anti-Pop festival and supported Matt Mackelcan with his amazing show, ran his merch table, promoted for Pete Woj, caught a bit of a rainy and rockin Curve show that was across the street and ended the night with an amazing Will Hoge preformance. Good times all around. Saw Jimmy and ragged on his buzz cut. Love that kid.
*Met a beautiful Rowan at the MacMillian household and held her for a least two hours straight. Only got spit up on six times and the majority of the time was pleasant. Sweet little angel, or sweet little witch (whichever fits better). *grin*

So...that is the run-through and basics of what I have been doing. Kind of a blur as of now. Lots of stuff coming up too, but all good and mostly shows. It's been a crazy time with work as well. Doing lots of tours for Food and Wine, mostly wine Masters and Chefs (most fun!). Not having many days off and hardly getting any sleep, but with Hurricane Wilma here this weekend, it seems things have changed. I had way too much sleep yesterday and was able to catch up on everything to where I was bored by the evening.

I feel like I am getting back to normal again. You know when the moment strikes where things are all screwed up and you lost something for a moment and you are trying to search to find it again. I feel like that moment is passing and I am finally finding it good again. Not wanting to have life go missing again. Still working my way back.

John Frank randomly called and offered for me to accompany him to the Rob Thomas show tomorrow night. "You like MB20?" Ummm YEAH! I'm stoked. God willing the storm passes and Rob doesn't cancel, it will be a good time.

I miss Big 10-4 a lot. Well...I see Jimmy and Roy so let me rephrase that. I miss Dan and Matt. I also miss their shows. Matty Matt wore one of Dan's shirts to his show and I attacked him. Funny stuff.

Hopefully I will be able to post about the present more often than not instead of focusing lately on the past. Important thing is that things are good and the future is always there. I'm always up for a change and always up for the best. Rock it!
